This is a cute book. It makes you think a bit into the mind of a puppy. I love the pictures and everything in it. It is one of the books of our countdown to Christmas. It's adorable and a book any dog lover beginning reader would love to read.
An I Can Read - My First. The series lists "My First" as ideal for sharing with emergent readers. Cute story about family members taking care of their business who have no time to give their dog Howie a hug. He tries the entire family. They eventually all come to him for a family hug. The only problem I see with the story as a classroom or school selection is the issue of separation of church and state. The final statement says a family is a hug from God.
