My wife has MS and some of the associated cognitive problems. So I read this book to get a better understanding of how those problems affect her daily routines, work and family life. We ended up discussing much of the book together as I read through it. We both appreciated the straight-forward information and the guidance on how to work around cognitive challenges. Although my wife already recognized most of her cognitive problems, we were able to hone in on a couple we hadn’t noticed before. Even better, we picked up a few remediation techniques that we hadn’t thought of before. This book is concise but informative, plainly written and references plenty of other research and literature for you to expand your personal research to.
I bought this book soon after my first diagnosis of neurological diseases,MS, in 2007, and lent to someone and never got it back. But l do remember it being very good and helpful, esp. for someone newly diagnosed. It’s a common disease but affects people very differently and the author did a good job of covering the many different challenges that the disease can present.
