I write erotic romance because I firmly believe that life doesn't stop at the bedroom door. I had a deeply romantic relationship with my husband of 22 years, and I want to celebrate his memory in my writing. After he died, it took me a long time to come out of my grief, but parts of him -- his honor, courage, optimism, tenacity, and lust for life -- live on in all my heroes. They’re all alpha men, as well.
And I write erotic romance because I feel you're never too old to give or receive love. Many of my stories have older heroines who dazzle younger men, and I wouldn't mind being such a heroine in real life. But that's another story...
I'm a member of Romance Writers of America, Liberty States Fiction Writers, and EPIC - the Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition. I’ve written for Ellora’s Cave since signing my first contract in 2004. I love gardening, and grow peonies (my friend calls them the “floozies” of the flower world), dahlias and other showy flowers. I play the piano occasionally, listen to classical music almost all the time, and sometimes dance to music only I can hear. And I read, read, read. I hope you do, too.
Kat is a free spirit. Raised by a child of the Haight-Ashbury crowd, she's never been one to hide her sexual needs and proclivities. Then she runs into Magnus. He's as gorgeous as his wood creations. Kat wants him; both his body and to serve as agent for his artistic creations. But Magnus has some issues with sexually free women.
Another beautiful story about a man and a woman learning about themselves and what they need.
WARNING: Contains, graphic sex, semi-public nudity, hot Viking dominance, and a ball-busting mistress.
The second book in the Dance series by Cris Anson. Erotic romance. I liked it a little more than the 1st but not enough to rate it a 4. Just okay for me.
Kat owns an art gallery and always looking for new talent. She is also a member of the Platinum society and not willing to settle down but prefers to be like a butterfly. One day she visits this undiscovered woodworker Magnus and their journey to put their past behind begins. You will feel their angst, desires, reticence, their reluctance to commiting to something bigger than themselves. This whirlwind story will take you on a full circle of what's important with the highs and lows that goes along with their finally having an HEA.
A cute story with some decent romantic scenes. Not a big fan of the way of mix of descriptive and pointview writing, but a decent book for in between heavier books.
Kat Donaldson mother raised her to believe to never be with just one man - love them all like a like a butterfly who samples every flower in the field. She has lived by this her whole life and has a long list of sexual experiences behind her. She is also a board member for a sex club. She is also a art gallery owner always on the look out for new talent to showcase. She is made aware of an artist that does the most amazing things with wood and set it in her mind she wants to represent him.
Magnus Thorvald has been burned badly by an ex-wife. Since there divorce when he caught her making a porno movie in there bed he has sworn off women and will have nothing to do with women like Kat even though there is an obvious attraction between the two of them.
It becomes a war of wills between the two - her to make him let her showcase his wood work and to admit he is attracted to her and him to avoid her at all cost even though he is dying for a taste of her but cannot get over that she might betray him like his ex did.
We get to meet Magnus's two brothers in this book who get there own books. I have mixed feelings about this book but once Kat realized she didnt have to live her life the way her mother did that she could let and did want a man to dominate her the story got better and I loved the ending.
My first time reading this author, I noticed that many reviewers preferred the first book to this series. Not having read it, I can't tell a difference, but can say that this can be read as a stand alone. I picked it up because I needed a book sent in Pennsylvania to finish a challenge, and I liked the butterfly on the cover.
A fun, hot read. Magnus is an uptight divorced artist living in the back woods of Pennsylvania, his puritan life brought on by the sexual excesses of his former wife. Kat is a swinging art dealer, daughter of hippies and delighting in her exhibitionist behaviors. I enjoyed the role reversal here, as normally the male lead plays the sexually uninhibited role. However, Magnus' prudish behaviors did not lessen his masculinity, or his initial asshole-ish behaviors towards Kat.
I must say I liked book 1 much better. Magnus just did not come across as a hot alpha male or someone that was sure of himself. Although he was reeling from his divorce and the heartache from his wife; I just felt he did not have chemistry with Kat.
Kat owns and runs an art gallery and is a powerful women who was on the board of the Platinum Club. The carryover from book one about her and how she was really exhibition and very comfortable with her sexuality did not display in this book. To take this amazing character and turn her into a weak women was a bit of a turnoff.
Could have been great. Torn on how to rate this one. I loved the conflict--damaged dominant heroes who do awful things actually work for me. BUT, they have to be sorry for what they've done and they have to earn (or at least ask for!) forgiveness. It would have only needed a sentence or two and I would have been happy (and given 5 stars). On the other hand, if the story wasn't as well written as it was, I wouldn't have cared enough to be mad. And it was hot. Even hotter than the first one, even if the BDSM element (which I usually enjoy) was the better part of what made me mad in this one.
I thought that it would have been better if the Hero wasn't such a judgmental ass. there are only so many times you can call a woman a whore and I don't get pissed off. It just turned me off--the way he treated her was just horrible. He did redeem himself, but I could never get over his behavior in the beginning.
