An interesting biography of Gary Paulsen.

Most of his characters are formed by his experiences growing up in Minnesota.

The dogs, the forests, the lakes and rivers, the weather, the snow and ice all have major impacts on his characters.

His mom and dad were heavy drinkers and didn't seem to know or care much about him.

He is a great writer who flunked out of college.

A good read but not nearly as great as reading a bunch of his books.

I love learning about one of my favorite authors. He has not always had the easiest life, but he always stayed true to himself and nature.

This book taught me a lot about Gary Paulsen and his life, especially his struggles. It also informed me about the many books he wrote and how he studied for them. It was a very informative book.
