The first dog in space, Laika, has been discovered in the Gummi Quadrant and the crew of the 'U.S.S. Endocrine' has been ordered to bring her home, so she can become part of a Star Freak exhibition zoo. Captain Smirk (Retired) learns of this exciting mission and reassembles his team to thwart his rival Captain Ricardo.

The last of the 'Star Wreck' parody novels, 'Space the Fido Frontier' packs in a number of barbed jokes squarely aimed at the 'Star Trek' series and the corporate mentality behind the decision to flood the market with spin offs.

I was hoping this was going to be so bad it's good. But it's really just bad. There are some mildly amusing references to episodes, but they have nothing to do with the story. Most of the humour is banal and falls flat. I doubt I'll ever read any of the others.
