Who says you can only score on the court?

A story from the Black & White Collection.

Trey Donovan is mourning the end of summer with fellow teachers when Ellie Hunter walks into Tully’s Bar. Better yet, she’s now a former rival basketball coach and the newest science teacher at his high school. He can’t think of anyone better to fill the vacant assistant coach job. In fact, if he plays his cards right, she might end up his perfect match off the court, too.

If she stops holding him at arm’s length long enough to give him a chance.

Coming off a year of bad decisions that not only broke her heart, but cost her a job, Ellie has good reason to swear off workplace romances. Her undeniable—and undeniably mutual—attraction to Trey is a serious threat to her resolve. Especially since Trey’s too-easy capitulation to her boundaries stings just a little too much.

Funny thing, though. When she sees Trey dancing with someone else, the edges of her vision turn decidedly green. And when another man tries to kiss Ellie, Trey sees red.

Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to fudge the rules. Just a little. After all, casual sex doesn’t count. Right?

Product Warnings
Lots of red-hot, half-dressed court presses complete with sex toys, food, bubble baths, strip poker and, oh yeah, balls.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Basketball coach, Trey, is hanging out with fellow teachers before the start of the new school year. While there, Ellie, who was the former coach of a rival school, enters the bar. Trey has always had a thing for Ellie, whenever he sees her. Ellie has a new position at Trey’s school and had a thing for Trey as well; however, she doesn’t want to start a relationship with a co-worker. With all her mishaps and what she went through within the past year, she plans on staying single for a while.

THOUGHTS

This was a nice story for me, and as much as I liked it, I felt it didn’t wow me. Trey’s and Ellie’s chemistry was one of uncertainty, but it was nice reading how their relationship progressed and unfold. Even though I found the story line to be ok, for me personally, their physical attraction did not disappoint along with the things they did with each other.
Trey was tired of playing the fields and thought he reached the point in his life were we wants to settle down. Ellie was independent and with her previous hurt, held her head high.

I haven’t read the rest of the ‘Black & White Collection ‘series by the author before but I’m not oppose to reading more books in the series.

Storyline: FAIR
Intimacy: VERY SPICY
Enjoyment: FAIR to GOOD

Awww, Trey is a player no more. And he picked a good one. I felt so bad for Ellie, for the circumstances in which she found herself as a result of her ex. What a piece of work! There were so many lingering issues after he tossed her aside, I don't blame Ellie for being so scared. I'm glad Trey stuck with it. She held him at arm's length for so long, it would have been easier to just walk away. But then again, it wouldn't have been easy for Trey since he was in so deep from the beginning. It just took Ellie a while to figure out she felt the same.

Mari Carr does romantic smut so well. I always have a smile on my face when I'm done with a story from her.

This book was definitely a fun read. It is about 2 high school teachers. Trey is a player, but looking to settle down. Ellie was burned by dating and living with a coworker and is a new teacher to the school, but not new to Trey as she coached against him at the previous school. There is chemistry between them, but Ellie has swore off men. It was a good book and kind of a condensed story that is well written and fun.

Loved this sexy read!!!

Mari Carr is one of the best HEA authors around, and she never holds back on the passion and heat. Trey and Ellie were an adorable couple together. Ellie was recovering from a bad breakup and Trey was patient and loving while he courted her. Can’t get enough of this author!!!!

Sexy fun novella

This is another fun, sexy short story. The heroine has been burned before and is hesitant to take the plunge into a relationship with a co-worker. Her solution is a casual "non-relatiinship" that still has all of the earmarks of something real. Everything is great until emotion get involved and she panics. Good quick read.

Loved it!

I love everything that M/Mari Carr writes and this book was no exception. Love blooming, relationship growing, holy hotness! You can read this book as a standalone and then read Ms Wright or visa versa. After that don't forget to read her "Irish" series.
