This book has been a wonderful resource for helping me plan an enriched learning environment for my toddler. Like others have stated, this book is geared towards a classroom setting; however, the structure is exactly what I was looking for (it satisfies the teacher inside of me). The author incorporates many fun activities (some you may already be doing with your little one- play dough, finger painting, songs) and organizes them into small units that enhance learning of various themes within several developmental areas. I find the activities easily adaptable to my son's abilities and I appreciate the author's emphasis on problem solving and language acquisition. The list of books for each theme is also helpful.
Target the fertile areas of development for toddlers and twos with these easy-to-implement activities. Each of the 100 daily topics is divided into activities and experiences that support language enrichment, cognitive development, social-emotional development and physical development.
Has a lot of information on activities to both teach and keep toddlers busy. It really is set up as a classroom book though and I was looking for something for me and my toddler. Some of the ideas I was able to use but a lot were either larger projects to set up or group activities.
