This encouraging book for spiritual leaders explores the lives of three great Bible leaders and how they made an eternal difference. Your heart will be challenged by the vision of Joshua, the passion of Nehemiah, and the faith of Joseph.

I love looking at the great leaders of the Bible and remembering that God is willing to use men today as He did back then. This book really captured the qualities of three great leaders. Take time to glean from their lives. You won't be disappointed.
An inspirational/religious short text of 94 pages by veteran Baptist minister and college administrator, Paul Chappell. The text, as the title suggests, says leaders make a great difference. Some of these differences, as stated in the blurb, are: Joshua's vision led to great victory, Nehemiah's passion led to nationwide revival, Joseph's faith led to forgiveness and a strong finish. Chappell punctuates the summary with this statement: "rediscover that God can greatly use godly influence to make a difference in the lives of others". All this proves that this little book on leadership focuses on principles of vision, passion, faith snd forgiveness and how they help others individually and collectively. The text itself is organized in 3 parts: 1. Joshua, with three sub-sections concerning how vision is developed through preparation, mobilized through a plan and realized through provision. 2. Nehemiah, with three sub-sections concerning how revival is initiated by supplication, is possible through synergy, and continued through stamina. 3. Joseph, concerning how finishing well begins with faith, is accomplished through faithfulness, and requires forgiveness. It is a good tool for young church leaders or anyone of faith who desires leadership roles.
Chappell looks at the leadership qualities of three men in the Bible: Joshua, Nehemiah, and Joseph. Each gives different principles and each are worth reviewing if we want to be a better leader. Use this book as a stepping stone to enhance what God is teaching you in being a leader.
Worth it for this quick read and the highlighted points with good biblical backup in the lives of biblical figures. More important than reading it...what will you do with these truths you know that are brought back to the forefront by reading this?
Paul has written a very concise introduction to three leaders of Old-Testament leadership. I really enjoyed the afternoon read.
Compacted within this short read are some very inspiring nuggets that I will add to my collection of inspiring thoughts.
"If you are struggling to maintain consistent Bible reading, make a commitment that will help you with your priorities - determine that you will not eat until you have spent time in God's Word that day."
A faith that cannot be tested cannot be trusted"
Leadership is influence, and God has given all of us a measure of influence. Fathers, mothers, ... church leaders ... - everyone has been entrusted with an influence that is uniquely his. Leaders who make a difference are wise stewards of that influence."
