Sammy Olson was kicked out of his own home by his boyfriend and left to fend for himself. He finds work at Theo's Bar and Grill, but what he isn't prepared for is the attention he's getting from two very handsome men. Trevor Amite left his coven behind when the leader challenged him. It was better than winning and becoming the new leader, something he didn't want. While Knox fights the demons that haunt his sleep, he discovers both of his mates—and one of them is a vampire. Can he come to terms with the idea of having a bloodsucker for a mate, or will he take Sammy and walk away from what fate has decided to give him? And can Knox keep the coven Trevor left behind from killing the man he isn't even sure he wants?
Each book in Lynn Hagen's Zeus's Pack collection features a different romantic trio. Each title stands alone and can be read in any order. However, we recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
This was book 3 in the "Zeus's Pack" this was a good read Knox like Avanti has been through a lot with the ex Alpha Jackson so when he finds his mates he is shocked one of them is a vampire. Sammy who we met in book 2 was kicked out by his boyfriend he was homeless and broke when he was found. Sammy is working as a dishwasher at the bar and grille when he is attacked by a vampire Trevor only he is not killed. Trevor can't believe that he almost drained his mate he left his coven because the leader thought he was challenging him and now they are trying to kill him. This was a pretty good read that I liked Knox doesn't know what to do about having a vamp as a mate no one in the pack wants a vamp in it and he is not sure he wants Trevor but as they begin to spend time with him he begins to like him. Sammy just wants someone for his own but he knows that he has to get Knox to come around about Trevor once Trevor tells him about them being mates. As Knox continues to battle the demons left by his old alpha the trio begins to get close with Zeus welcoming Trevor into the pack. This book had some hot sex scenes in it. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
This was like most of the rest of the series. I do feel that it was a poor plot. There could have been a lot more conflict and action but the author just wrapped it up and made it cutie and easy. I usually enjoy this series for the lite fun read it provides but this one was just a little too lite for me.
No different than the first two volumes, this book was a fun, entertaining read. More types of supernaturals are ‘coming out of the woodwork’, so to speak, and the sordid past of Zeus’s pack becomes more obvious. The darkness these warriors have to fight will be a common thread, I suspect, and I’m curious to find out how each of them will deal with their past.
Sammy, introduced in the previous book, was the ‘cute and helpless’ mate in this relationship. Having said that, though, internally he is a lot stronger than he seems, as is so often the case with physically smaller people who get underestimated. Trevor is an unusual vampire, one who isn’t aggressive and didn’t want to be a leader. I liked the way he quickly becomes Sammy’s protector and provides him with emotional support – something he needs badly himself. Finally, Knox is the wounded warrior in this ménage. He behaves like an idiot towards Trevor in the beginning, just because he is a vampire. Luckily, they soon discover it doesn’t matter and there are far more important issues to deal with.
If you like shifter stories, hot but loving m/m/m ménages and an entertaining, light read, you will probably like this book.
This is the summary off the back of the book. Sammy Olson was kicked out of his own home by his boyfriend and left to fend for himself. He finds work at Theo's bar and Grill, but what he isn’t prepared for is the attention he’s getting from two very handsome men.
Trevor Amite left his coven behind when the leader challenged him. It was better than him winning and becoming the new leader, something he didn’t want.
While Knox fought the demons that haunt his sleep, he discovers both of his mates and one of them is a vampire.
Can he come to terms with the idea of having a bloodsucker for a mate or will he take Sammy and walk away from what fate has decided to give him? And can Knox keep the coven Trevor left behind from killing the man he isn’t even sure he wants?
This is what I think of the book. Wow Sammy just seemed to timid to have a wolf and a vampire as a mate but it works and the new blood with the construction workers makes it more interesting. I can see this series going for a while yet and me buying more of them next pay day. I look forward to finding out who has what mate and soon.
Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each): Brac Pack Christian's Coven Zeus's Pack Demon Warriors The Exiled
These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.
One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order): Brac Village Shadow Tribe BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids) The Remus Brothers Wolves of Desire
I don't think Trevor is a good vampire since his intent was to drain Sammy, not just eat enough to get by.
The Demon Warrior introduced himself as Demon Warrior for Panahasi and Zeus asked him who is his leader two seconds later, the further I read the dumber they get.
Okey, esta historia me gustó un poco más que las anteriores. Aquí también me salté casi todas las escenas sexuales, pero la situación entre Trevor y Knox fue mi favorita 😌.
Okay. Super abrupt ending. Too much pointless sex. Those were the downsides, which is a pretty awesome cut for this series.
I’m actually fond of two of the main guys here and the third one worked out in connection with them. While Knox turned out okay after he got over his initial prejudice, I like this volume mostly because both Trevor and Sammy are cool and fun in their respective ways. Actually, I might have a serious thing for Trevor. XD There’s just something about him, and it’s not necessarily the usual things that appeal to me.
So yes, the romance aspect was in fact kinda sweet – even if it was extremely brief if you take the sex scenes out. But I enjoyed the story and that alone would have been enough to make me glad that I picked the series up after all.
But then Takeo’s secret from the Demon Warrior series is revealed here and even Panahasi shows up very briefly. O.O I mean… That was kinda out of left field. In essence, all the spin-offs need to be read for the full picture with as many connections as they have. It’ll be interesting to see whether that story angle will be resolved in this series or the other one, although Takeo was a lot more present in the other so that seems more likely. Still strange. But not in a bad way, I guess.
2012 Re-read Project:
I went and did it. I re-read all the connected series by Lynn Hagen, this time in order of publication date, as recommended, which sadly does not ensure actual chronologicality. That’s twenty-nine books of moderate length, spanning three series (with more to spin off).
I’ll put my thoughts in spoiler tags since I plan to paste this into the end of each review covered here. There are no actual spoilers, so feel free to read this for a general idea of the series.
typical lynn hagen serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical lynn hagen? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).
out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by : lynn hagen stormy glenn scarlett hyacinth carol lynne gabrielle evans
unless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win.
I enjoyed this story, surviving hard times is a win with potholes. These characters journey through emotional and mental hardships while learning to accept each other was interesting.
