Rate this book
The history of Sonora is the story of a periphery, a border and a corridor. The current space that covers the federal entity was located on the periphery of Mesoamerica, it became a border of war during the colonial period, in 1880 when the apaches attacks ended, and in 1938 even when President Lázaro Cárdenas set up a peace agreement with the Yaquis. It has also been a kind of corridor for migrants, capital and products to become on of the most important state with agricultural, commercial and export activities.
