Extremely comprehensive story of MDMA. The chapter surrounding the historical legal battle surrounding the drug is probably the most thorough to date in the literature. An excellent source of research material. With more recent surges to legalize MDMA, a 2nd edition of this book is welcome. Great book. Interesting drug!

Pretty dry. Focused on the drug than the culture which is what I wanted, but it was technical at times (in regards to the effects of X, etc.) and the technical stuff could have been explained better.
