Great read for students of politics and history. Simple to read and digest. A must read for those who would like to know more about how weak Jimmy Carter was (and still is) during his tenure as president and how that weakness and cowardice messed up the world. In this book, author tries to show us (by presenting evidences) that Jimmy Carter's incompetent handling of Iranian revolution and invasion of Afghanistan by the soviet Union, brought all the troubles we are facing today. Mostly the rise of radical Islam that was empowered by the Iranian revolution of 1979. It was an error of judgment not to back the Shah on part of Pres. Carter and it is a legacy that still haunts him. Well documented, and worth the time to read.

Jimmy Carter has become our greatest elder statesman. His knowlege of the middle-east and world policy is one of our greatest resources. He is so under used by our goverment.
