A solid book with some good suggestions for practical application. It's not a super groundbreaking book, but it's theologically sound and contains wise suggestions on growing in the spiritual disciplines.

I expected to read about the external issues like busyness and materialism in Simplicity but dealing with the internal baggage was interesting, though most of those like sexual abuse and forgiveness I didn't relate to. Ed is wise and a great storyteller, but can be a little random. I’m not sure what the chapter on AIDS was for other than to brag about what his church was doing. All in all Simplicity included a lot of practical advice and scriptural insight that I found helpful.
