An incredible resource for anyone providing counseling services (or a listening ear) to others. I found this to be an unbiased, current look at psychological techniques. I took a lot of helpful resources and tactics from this book. What a good reference for those who may put it to use!

Read for a Graduate Certificate in Counseling course.

Whether you practice family therapy or not, a tremendous resource on helping people grow and resolve conflict. Gives practical tools that have already helped me more effectively reach people, by breaking several different theories down in ways that allows me to choose the elements I need for a given person or situation. However, this is a very practical resource. Does not allow you to delve into the theories and understand why they work, or give much of a basis for evaluating their efficacy.
