This book will wreck you. The account of the work of these missionaries is incredible and a true picture of love for the lost and seeking first the Kingdom of God. I found myself challenged and convicted numerous times. Their faith is STILL changing lives. We can so easily question what God’s favor and goodness looks like, and the ending of this story can seem like the opposite of it. NO. In a world obsessed with preserving life, Christians must be unafraid to lay theirs down for the sake of the Gospel. Read it. I’m still crying.

This lady’s religious life is heartbreaking unnecessarily. She is in the bondage of dogmatic religion and self righteousness.
