NBC's Hannibal has resonated with many queer fans over the years. The show and being part of the Fannibal fandom has been a part of many people's gender identity journeys.
In this fandom-led volume we capture the thoughts and feelings of some of the trans, non-binary, genderqueer and otherwise non-cis Fannibals through art, fiction, nonfiction and essays. These works, whilst inspired by Hannibal, paint a picture of what it is to be non-cis in the Hannibal fandom.

What a wonderful collection of affirming art, essays and stories. It was a real pleasure to read so many genderqueer views and interpretations of a franchise I adore. I particularly enjoyed Max Turner’s essay, which articulated one of the main reasons I so love Hannibal, but a reason I hadn’t satisfactorily managed to put into words myself: Hannibal offers to Will the radical idea that it isn’t Will who is wrong, but rather it is the rest of the world into which he does not fit that is broken. How validating and dangerous a thought that is for those of us who feel like we do not quite belong. Altogether, this collection is an absolute treat for committed Fannibals like me.
I compiled and edited this volume so I am a little bias! HOWEVER! This really is an absolute gem for queer Hannibal fans and especially any fans under the trans umbrella.
The fiction is wonderful the art is amazing and the nonfiction is deep and insightful. This really is a love letter to NBC's Hannibal from trans Fannibals!
