Now he weaves them into a wonderful tapestry that is sure to please lovers of this northern sport. Maxwell's memoirs The 'l' in Curling has humor, tales never before told, and insights that help explain why curling has such a hold on Canadians.
The book was okay. If you aren’t familiar with a lot of the pioneers of the game then you probably won’t feel very invested. There weren’t many names I recognized until later in his career. It was somewhat interesting to read about the behind-the-scenes in the early development of national curling bonspiels.
