A great book about stories on the Amazon river, of a Canadian mans journey to spread the word of his faith that he truly believes in. And what a job he had done!
Bringing his entire family to live in Brazil, he progressed in helping develop churches throughout the Amazon area. Dealing with certain native tribes, sometimes could be dangerous, as they were well known to attack at any time.
Despite the dangers of snakes, alligators, and piranhas, he ventured through much of the unknown in flying a little Cessna float plane in order to get to the hard to reach areas in Brazil.
With many close call crashes in the Cessna, and in one instance when flying the engine blows apart, he somehow by pure luck or divinity that he makes it out alright. With the little float plane, he journeys to areas that would have taken too much time by boat, and planted his faith in many communities throughout.
A cozy book to read and warm up to, about how this man and wife team grew the Pentecostal faith throughout the Amazon region. Other religions should take note on what this man is doing.
The only negatives were the use of commas in the book, was excessive in my opinion. Also, the story did not explain itself out in great enough detail at times.
