Summary: When Harry Styles received acceptance into a post-grad degree, he knew he could no longer afford his flat leaving him with three options:
1) Moving back into student halls. 2) Becoming homeless. 3) Moving in with his best (and only) friend, Niall, and three of Niall's other friends. He ended up choosing the third option. But it was a close race. Shame one of his new housemates reminded him why he only has one friend. If Louis Tomlinson had to choose one thing couldn't stand, it would be pretentious tossers, having grown up around enough of them. If he had to choose something he couldn't live without, it would be his friends. So he was proper thrilled to move in with his best mates and a couple of other lads. That was until he discovered one of them was the archetype for a pretentious tosser.
In the interest of seeing out the twelve-month lease without killing each other, they both try (debatable) to get along despite believing they were opposite in almost every conceivable way, each having the communication skills of a cucumber, and secrets that had no business be kept secret.
also one of the best fics i’ve read in a long time !!! the complexity of the characters and the way that it’s just so beautifully written??? (zayn is absolutely unhinged in this one) definitely one of my top fives <3
If you'd have told me year ago that I would start reading Larry fanfiction again as a grown adult I wouldn't have believed you but this was, pretty fucking amazing.
Thank you Anne for recommending this masterpiece, I had some sleepless nights and non social days because of it but honestly I can't hate you for that because I fucking loved every second of it.
I really recognized myself in Louis. The way he handled things, the traumas and the ADHD. It's actually something I've struggled a lot with the past year. I never talk about the hard things, just can never find the words or even think about it until someone asks.
Harry was so fucking lovely about it.

I absolutely adored the way the two characters interacted. A lot of banter and a lot of love. There is a lot of trauma on both parts and it's so well written, the therapy is amazing. The love, connection and attraction this two characters have is wonderfully explained. Their friends are funny and so supportive. I love love love it and will read it again at some point. Thank you Imogen for inviting us into this story about love, fear, trauma and friendship.

Once you read this book you'll be addicted to Imogen's characters and storytelling. Her deep understanding of human psychology and comic relief will have you screaming into a pillow in the middle of the night, cry-laughing and holding your breath for the imperfect yet beloved protaginists. And the best part, there's more where this came from, check out her 2 wips Save Me (from myself); and You, Me, (and everyone we know).
Okay look. I forgot how much I loved reading about Louis and Harry. I forgot how much love I have for the two of them as a person. But this story. It was everything I never knew I needed so badly. And I loved it. I loved every single thing of it. The bad, the good, the ugly and most importantly: the love.
“The grass is green, and the sky is blue, and Louis wants to be with Harry.”
Thank you for blessing us with this beauty.

This is simply an amazing book...beautiful characters, which develop a complex relationship, really deep, hard struggles, totally relatable. The range of emotions, the life situations will make you fall in love with the characters and their story.

1. Iconic 2. Nerve wrecking but also , understandable 3. Wanted to punch lou and Harry in the face. 4. Zayn is an icon 5. Harry’s mom.. come onnnnnnn. What a sweetheart. Great way to start the year off for me :) 🤍
This was one of the most incredible books I’ve ever read. I actually really struggled to put it down, which hasn’t really happened since I read The Unbelievers.
This book has you falling in love with the characters. I laughed, I cried a lot but also I healed a lot. Best book I read in 2023 and will definitely read it again.
