A story about believing and patience, I think. Better than some of the junk pop stories we have today.

This is a fairy tale Lenore chose at the library. I wondered if it would be too dark for you -- it opens with the starving farmer taking an ax to kill one of his oxen -- but instead Lenore asks for it every night. Some of that is the presence of the unicorn, I'm sure. I think she also likes the message of the farmer sparing the rabbit and mockingbird. I hope we can find more fairy tales like this to read to her.

My name is Nathaniel E.W. Moeri and this book was dedicated to me by my beloved late Grandmother. I am so glad people enjoyed this book as I have and I have treasured it and will always treasure it. I hope people will share this book with their children for decades to come.
