I could imagine that storing of treasures in the second world did occur and in all different places in a bid to keep money for the hoarders of these things and then made instant millionaires after the war. I imagine there is still a lot of treasure hidden and who knows wether it will come to light.
The war for so many people did not finish at the end of the war
It was interesting to read a bit about Morocco and their culture sins of our forbears haunt the generation of the present

I enjoyed the book until the ending. There was great suspense and mystery but the ending seemed rushed.

I have not read much about North Africa during the 1930's and 1940's, this is a believable story told about the clash of cultures with several religions and ethnic groups struggling to gain an advantage. The characters are likeable and believable and I feel as if I understand something more about that era.
