Andrew profiles the Magnificent Seven Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Pinot Noir, plus more from the vine family, and profiles the role of the winemaker in shaping the finished product. The final part of the book, The Journey, is a tour of the world's wine-producing countries, and describes the characteristics of each.

Чудовий баланс між довідником та надихаючою історією. Перша половина книги дуже практична, хороше ознайомлення з основними категоріями світу вина, сортами та особливостями виробництва. А далі можна використовувати як натхнення для/перед подорожами – перед поїздкою відкрити розділ присвячений регіону та відмітити собі у планах скуштувати той чи інший сорт вина. Єдиний мінус – Грузії, регіону-матері вина, присвячено всього один абзац на останній сторінці. Розумію, що важко знайти грузинські вина на експорт в інших країнах світу, але це забирає від "подорожі" книгою.

Книга скоріше сприймається, як подарунковий екземпляр, іі хочеться тримати і гортати час від часу.
Читати третину книги немає сенсу, варто відкривати тільки, коли відкрили пляшку вина і шукаєте додаткову інформацію про неї

Мені не вистачило душі і людяності, все занадто сухо і протокольно. Варто було б розбавити історіями людей або стилем оповідання (а не фактаціі)

Huvitav, kes oli see, kellel tuli idee anda viinamarjasortidele peaaegu igas riigis oma nimi?!?
Õnneks on raamatus olevast registrist võimalik kiiresti leida ennast huvitav viinamarjasort ja siis juba täpsemalt selle kohta lugeda.
