When Erin Harrison heads out into the wilds to her friend's cabin for a girls weekend away, the last person she's expecting to bump into on her arrival is Liam Donovan. He's the brother of her best friend's husband, and also happens to be hot. So hot that Erin threw herself at him three months previously, only to be embarrassingly shot down in flames. She's avoided him ever since.

The trouble is, the girls weekend is off due to horrendous weather, and Erin didn't get the message on her phone until it was too late. Now she and Liam are stuck in the middle of nowhere until the storm clears and it's safe to travel again, putting paid to Erin's avoidance plan. There's nowhere to hide in the cabin, meaning that Erin is in a quandary. Her pride may want the ground to swallow her up, but every other part of her now has what she's always wanted - some time alone with Liam. But will she make the most of it?

Alone with Liam is a quickie short story, and definitely one that leaves you wanting more. There's enough background on the characters to make you invested in them and care about the outcome of the story, which is an incredible feat in such a small word count. It's also well-written, engaging and scorching hot - so if you're looking for a seriously sexy short story to get you in the mood, then grab yourself a copy of this.

Very short, decent love scene. All in all, it was just alright.
