This book is exactly what I needed, identifying the laces by name, type, origin, age, cloth, ornament, and themes where applicable. It's like a dictionary with closeup views of details. It doesn't tell you how to make it, just to identify it, with terminology. The photos are perfect, and if you're already an accomplished crochet'r, you can figure out the "how to." It even tells you what is collectible or rare. So glad I got this book. Any curator of textiles would consider it a must-have book.
