Full of exciting surprises, unexpected twists and turns, unpredictable betrayal, greed, an evil murderer, and a ghost determined to get justice! Will help come in time to save her? Will she find the love she is searching for? Will her sister finally be able to move on, now that the killer has been found? A fantastic story!
Good story. Beth and Jason are really good characters who go well together. If you believe in ghosts then there is a good one in here. Ellie and Beth are identical twins and Beth is woken in the night knowing Ellie is about to call her, and she does, to inform Beth that her husband of 7 months is missing. It turns out that Chris, the husband, is dead, found at the bottom of a old mine shaft. Ellie is sure it is murder, all they have to do now is prove it to the sheriff.
I really enjoyed this book and am glad I read it. I almost didn’t because I read other reviews first and someone told what happens. Please reviewers don’t ruin the book for others. Just say it was enjoyable and why. No reason to give away the whole plot so to speak. It was worth reading just an enjoyable read. The characters were good , nothing corny and not predictable. Good romance mixed in so I could even see this become a movie. This is the 2nd by this author I have read and enjoyed.
Ms Robertson writes so very well, I just wish she would let go of her fan fiction roots. She simply DOES NOT NEED the graphic sex scenes. Write the sex, fine, but please lose the words and phrases that brand it as fan fiction sex.
That said, this was a well-plotted story and I enjoyed its intricacies ... and I WILL be reading more by this author.
On impulse, Beth makes a decision that she hopes will lead her to finding a killer....
From the get-go, Veiled Mirror grabbed my attention. With plenty of suspense, and a small touch of paranormal, this is one of the best romantic suspense books I've read in a long time. There's deceit, murder, lies...I was left guessing the whole way through. I worried for Beth, cried for her family that died, and was at the edge of my seat, hanging on to every word because I never knew what to expect next.
Frankie Robertson is a new-to-me author, and from my journey with this book, I will be keeping an eye out for more. The characters are so well created, the tension is high and it never wavers. I stayed up late into the night-hours to finish this book. I read it in one sitting, not wanting to miss a thing, yet I didn’t want it to end either.
Kudos to you, Frankie Robertson. You've created an amazing suspenseful story. Readers, if you're a romantic suspense fan, add this book to your list right away.
I'm not sure what I expected, so I shouldn't feel disappointed. It moved along pretty, well at the first, setting up the story. But then, it became more talk about who the killer could be, instead of any action. No more trying to kill the h for a long time. I did enjoy it though and did finish. I needed to know if I was right about who was the killer. No, I wouldn't read it again, but who wants to read a book when u already know the killer. It had potential. Maybe some added tension scenes would help.
