This first book in the spin-off series focuses on small town confectionary creator/artisan Cassie Sullivan and big wig Hollywood screen writer Flynn Stewart. Flynn has adopted his deceased sister’s daughter – Ruby. Flynn trying to keep Ruby and himself out of the media limelight and the grasping hands of those who want 5 minutes of fame and/or a big wad of cash, travels to Bar Harbor and rents a cottage from Cassie.
Cassie is exuberant, super cheery and open-hearted – with no false pretences – for Flynn she is almost like a rare unicorn, he is used to an altogether different sort of woman, and even Cassie’s family are a delightful surprise for Flynn and Ruby.
Cassie and Flynn are entertaining characters and together sweet, but I did want more layers to them both and their relationship, things were a tad superficial, although not so much that I disliked the read. I did enjoy the inclusion of Cassie’s family, and her siblings ensured some amusing moments.
A sweet light romance, that is very gentle on the reader’s mind and heart, a slight issue that I had was that the read did start to feel a little formulaic, something I’m usually happy with, but after the 50% or so mark I really felt it.
Your Love is Mine by Bella Andre was the first book in the Maine Sullivan series and the nineteenth book in the overall Sullivan series.
Flynn Stewart was now a single father. He was an Award Winning Screenwriter who just adopted his late (and estranged) sister’s six month old daughter, Ruby. As an elite in Hollywood, he was fodder for the tabloids so he needed to privately get away. His friend, and famous Hollywood actor, Smith Sullivan had a cousin who rented out a cabin in a Maine remote town that was perfect for Flynn and Ruby.
Cassie Sullivan was sunshine. She brought goodness, happiness and light into everything she touched. She was also an artist who turned her passion for candy making into delicious art.
Andre created a sweet and sexy story with heartfelt moments. It was goodness mixed in with reflection, acceptance and new directions. It was a quintessential “good feels” story.
Andre also set the stage for the series by introducing each family member within the Maine Sullivan series, seven siblings in all. They each had distinct personalities which promised for another great series. The renowned artisan woodworker, Rory, is up next in There Goes My Heart.
I know that I have said it before but, Bella Andre amazes me. How she can keep each and every story fresh and exciting is beyond me. Yes, this is the the beginning of the Maine Sullivans but this is the 19th Sullivan story and, believe me when I tell you, you won't be able to put this one down.
Flynn's story is heartbreaking and wonderful. Ruby just added that little something to his story that will steal your heart. A sexy man, a baby and a past that left a lot to be desired … what a recipe for a beautiful story. My heart simultaneously broke and rejoiced for Flynn.
Cassie is a Sullivan so you know that she is going to be fierce and a force to be reckoned with. She's funny, fun and one of the most loving and understanding woman that I have read in a long time. Of course, she comes from a long line of wonderful Sullivan woman that all have the same traits.
But, what really touched me was how Flynn and Cassie meshed and how Ruby was the glue that held them together. He's admitting his secrets, she is letting someone into her kitchen. Ruby is just stealing everyone's heart and not giving it back. But, if you want to win her heart, you'll have to have Ellie The Elephant to keep her happy. And what can you say about Beth and Ethan and the rest of the Sullivan clan. They will always be there to support and love you, no matter the circumstances.
I loved it. There is no other way to put it. I loved Your Love is Mine. Bella Andre knows how to write a love story. She knows how to write characters that bring out every emotion that you have. She makes you smile, she makes you cry but she always leaves you satisfied and wishing that you were a Sullivan.
Book 19 in The Sullivans series, you guys! BOOK 19! I can't believe the series I started reading back when it was just about The San Francisco branch, which hadn't even finished, would become this huge; and I especially can't believe how excited and in love I am with this family when I'm usually happy to read series of 3 books and then move on. However, Bella Andre has created a magical, loving and fascinating family in the romance genre that I can't get enough of.
Your Love is Mine is where we get to know more about the Sullivans living in Maine and just like its predecessors, it doesn't disappoint.
Cassie Sullivan's love story with Flynn Stewart is absolutely adorable. Here's a heroine filled with hope, courage and happiness; a heroine who's honest with herself and others; a heroine who's oh, so willing to help and love. She's definitely the woman Flynn Stewart needed in his life, the woman who arrived just in time to show him and precious baby Ruby that life is worth living; and how if we take one step a time (or one candy block at a time, haha), anything is possible.
And then there's Flynn. Oh, Flynn. I wanted to get in the book and hug him and tell him everything would be okay. It was hard reading how much his childhood had affected him, the story he writes about Ellie the Elephant... god, so beautiful and heartbreaking as he gives life to his sister once again and realizes how brave he is, and how much love he has to give. A hero, who just like the characters he created for movies, manages to believe there will be a better future for him, not just because of the people who love him, but because he is willing to fight for it.
Your Love is Mine is fantastic beginning in the Maine Sullivans branch. I can't wait to know more about Cassie's siblings; hopefully, more of Cassie, Flynn & Ruby (pretty, pretty please) and perhaps some extra information related to The San Francisco, Seattle & New York Sullivans? After all, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, right?
Bella Andre has begun a new series of Sullivans for you to enjoy. This time we are in Maine and I have to say that I really enjoy how all the books blend in together but still manage to be enjoyed on their own as well.
YOUR LOVE IS MINE is all about Cassie Sullivan and Flynn Stewart. Cassie is one of seven siblings in Bar Harbor, Maine so I’m sure as the series goes on that we will see much more of the others in the series. But let’s get back to Cassie… I really enjoyed her character. She was refreshingly sweet and I loved how chatty she got whenever she was nervous. It was very endearing and I feel like one of the big reasons why I keep returning to these books is because the heroines are often very sweet and charming. Cassie definitely fits that mold.
Then there’s Flynn who is an award-winning screenwriter. He’s the big shot of the book and gets lots of media attention because of his work and dating life. However, once in Bar Harbor, we see a much more down-to-earth side to him that I much preferred. I thought that his backstory and how Ruby came into his life was a little too much at some points, but I’m glad that the author didn’t make it such a huge part of this book. Otherwise, I think it would have taken away from the small-town romance feel that a series set in Bar Harbor should have.
That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed YOUR LOVE IS MINE and I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series!
I still enjoy the Sullivan series by Bella Andre (even though we are on the 4th? group of siblings in the extended family), but I do have to admit that some of the excitement of the series is starting to fade for me. Cassie and Flynn are entertaining characters, but what we see of them is fairly superficial. They have a strong connection from the very beginning, and it was sweet to see them get to know each other. I also enjoyed getting to meet some of Cassie's extended family. My complaint - if you can call it that - is that this series seems to be getting a bit formulaic. There is no true conflict around Flynn and Cassie's relationship, even though there are plenty of options to choose from - and options that would not have changed the ending, but I think would have been more authentic to the human experience. My other issue was the character of Ruby, Flynn's 6 month old niece/adopted daughter. As I went through the story, I struggled with Ruby being given abilities and personality traits most 6 month olds just don't have. In the grand scheme, it's probably a small thing, but it pull me from the story. I am curious about Cassie's siblings and what might be in store for them, but I would love it if Ms Andre would return to the more dynamic style of book represented by the early Sullivan stories.
Your Love Is Mine (Maine Sullivans #1) by Bella Andre
I've read many books. Adored a great deal of characters. Discovered a number of new authors and enjoyed a great many tales, but no matter how far I roam, Bella Andre and her Sullivan series is never far from my heart. The Sullivans are the epitome of what a family should be. They live their best life because they know, they have love guiding the way. Your Love is Mine is the latest in a long line of captivating, heartbreaking and always inspirational reads. So happy to see that Cassie finally gets her story and what a beautifully, enchanting journey it is. Flynn should be enjoying the good life, but old heartaches continue to dog his present. When past and present collide with a broken heart, his precious Ruby paves his way home. From that first hello to the last goodbye, Andre makes every second count. I LOVE THAT!
2.5 stars (can we please start being able to give half stars?!)
There was nothing terrible about this book, but it was soooo boring. I didn’t find there was any chemistry, and couldn’t have cared less for Flynn or Cassie. He was hung up on people judging his family background and I thought it was all way overdone. She was just about the biggest doormat ever. Even when he said he didn’t want anything serious, she just kept saying she’d wait and be there for him. Honestly, a little self-respect goes a long way. And this may just be me, but I don’t know any screenwriter (Flynn’s job) in Hollywood. This whole book made him sound so absurdly famous that paparazzi stalk him...a screenwriter? I haven’t ever heard of a screenwriter in any tabloid or news story.
I think maybe its time for this author to stop with the Sullivans and try something different.
I have read, and mostly enjoyed, all the other Sullivan books. This one, however, fell flat for me. The heroine was over the top chipper and cheerful, the baby ate and did things way too advanced for her story age, and the dude's back story just left me saying "meh". I
Just skimmed it from about the 40% point. Bored stiff
I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I absolutely loved Cassie and Flynn’s story. Cassie was so sweet, no drama or trauma but was such a healing personality. Flynn was such a refreshing hero. He had loads of emotional issues but realized with the help of Ruby then Cassie that he was not doomed to repeat the past and ended up a worthy partner. Would love to see more of their story in their siblings upcoming books. This chapter of Sullivans’ will not disappoint!

Another Sullivan spinoff family, the Sullivans of Maine, with a family similar to the California Sullivan’s. This was a sweet story....literally. Cassie is a candy maker also known as an artist. I must say i did not know this was a profession, but she is part of the Maine Sullivan’s, most of whom still live very close to the parents. Flynn Stewart is an Oscar winning screen writer who finds he is in charge of his 6 month old niece, and needs to get out of Hollywood for her sake. By way of the California Sullivan’s, he finds out that Cassie will rent him a cabin in the woods of Maine to help him hide from the paparazzi. Flynn has a lot of issues, baby Ruby is adorable, and Cassie wants to love them both. With the help of her family, Flynn sees a different way of life from the one he was running from. Although I love Sullivan Family stories, and Bella Andre is a wonderful storyteller, this book lacked something for me. I almost felt as if everything went too smoothly and easily for this HEA. I am not sure if I wanted more angst of more depth, but it lacked that something for me that made this story great. Another good story, just not my favorite.
Flynn. Ruby - niece. Cassie Sullivan My heart went out to Flynn because of his childhood, and how he felt he needed to hide it and make up a new story for himself. He puts so much blame on himself, especially when his younger sister dies and he adopts her six month old baby Ruby. Ruby is the light in his dark life now. You just can’t help but be happy around babies. She was such an important character in the story. When Cassie meets Flynn and Ruby, her heart melts s for Ruby. Cassie has such an upbeat and happy personality, you can’t help but want to be around her. I loved how Cassie’s mother helped Flynn with Ruby even though he was skeptical at first. Poor Flynn had a hard time trusting. Cassie’s large family was so great. I loved the book, and strongly encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Another great love story from the Sullivan family. Cassie and Flynn should be like oil and water, but the common love they share for their creative art brings them closer together. Little Miss Ruby is such a cute addition to the storyline and helps demonstrate what love can do and how important it really is.. This first glimpse into the Maine Sullivans is the beginning this family deserves.
Another dose of Sullivan greatness! This huge family is so much fun to read about. Cassie and Flynn were no exception. Cassie is a rare form of female. Most women would have taken Flynn's words as rejection, but not Cassie. They made her more determined. And when you add in Ruby, the cuteness factor goes sky high! 4 solid 🌟
4.5 sweet as candy 🍬 🍬 🍬 🍬 🍬 ✨ I am glad the Sullivan's are back and the first out of 7 siblings I am excited for the rest of the Maine Crew! Straightforward story no unnecessary drama.. Wonderful characters
All the feels! Bella Andre writes from the heart. She can delve deep into the psyche of damaged people, understand their issues, and have them come through to the other side if not healed, at least healing.
Flynn has had crap handed to him since he was born. He left home at 17 to reinvent himself, and now as a top Hollywood screenwriter, did a darn good job. His regrets include not being able to save his younger sister once he left. Now, after she is dead, he finds out he is the guardian of her 6 month old daughter. Wanting to shield his niece Ruby from the Hollywood hype, he rents a cabin in the woods of Maine to try to bond with the child and get his languishing screenplay back on track!
Cassie should be named Pollyanna. Everything is wonderful in her world. She is as sweet as the candy she makes, and just happens to own the cabin where Flynn and Ruby are staying. Cassie is enamored with Ruby, loves her at first sight! She gives Flynn her cell number and leaves the cabin to let them get settled. Unfortunately, or fortunately...Ruby is NOT happy with her new digs and Flynn has to call Cassie for help.
Where do they go from here? Can Flynn get back on track, taking care of an infant and having a deadline for his screenplay? Will Cassie just leave them alone or try with her whole heart to make everything good for Ruby and possibly Flynn as well? Will Flynn find himself worthy of the absolute love that Cassie surrounds herself with and be able to be the man both Cassie and Ruby need and he deserves to find?
With seven Maine Sullivans, I'm so looking forward to the next books in this series and LOVED 'Your Love Is Mine'.
I think I am really going to enjoy these Maine Sullivans!! Case's story starts it off as she loses her heart to Flynn and his adorable baby Ruby. Recommended read
This book is so amazing. I loved how the entire story line developed and how the characters, Cassie,Flynn and Ruby, fell in love. I love how Flynn fought himself to make sure he earned Cassie's love. How the love for his little girl, made him realize that there was more to life and love than making up a story. This book had a different way from Bella's heroes and heroines but still had that love and romance that we all crave and love. Another homerun.
Adored this truly heartwarming, emotional and engaging journey filled with longing, heartbreak, forgiveness and understanding that has a firm hold on all my heart strings.... It was a highly entertaining and sweetly thrilling read. Loving the Sullivans of Maine!
ARC- I can't wait to read the rest of the Maine Sullivans stories! Bella has given us little tastes of the Maine branch of the Sullivan family and I've been waiting for Cassie's story since she was first mentioned. Your Love Is Mine has not disappointed, it has all of the things I love about Bella's Sullivan family. I cannot wait to read about the rest of the Maine Sullivan's!
Such a beautiful romance between Flynn and Cassie - A perfect introduction to the Maine Sullivans!! Amazing chemistry, sweet romance, another awesome read from Bella Andre!! You won't be disappointed!!
Bella Andre does it again wowing me with her words. I love everything about this book! This story, these characters, these words all took me on a beautiful and emotional journey about love, family, acceptance, honesty and what is truly important in life. This new Sullivan family from Maine continues the legacy of being one of my top three book families ever! I can't wait to get each and every one of their stories! If this one is any indication, I am going to love them just as much as all the other Sullivans. Sparks fly when Flynn Stewart and his baby niece Ruby move into Cassie Sullivan's cabin in Maine for some much needed away time from his crazy LA life as a screenplay writer. And oh my heart, their time together with Ruby is so genuine, sweet, heartwarming and loving. Cassie and Flynn's chemistry can't be ignored though and even if Flynn may not have been looking for love, he sure finds it with the sweet, amazing, and strong Cassie. They have their private time with each other that is sexy, steamy and beautiful; but it is their time together with Ruby when it is the three of them that is simply everything.
Flynn Stewart is a successful screenwriter who has been running for the past 20 years and he is still running. This time however he is running to Maine to hide from The press and his past as he tries to raise his very young niece he has only had custody of for about a month. He is sent to Maine by his very good friends Smith and Valentina Sullivan so that he can escape and regroup and more importantly focus on being a father to his niece Ruby. Ruby will steal your heart from the first scene she is in!
Cassie Sullivan creates sweet confections and she allows Flynn to stay at her cabin as a favor to Smith. She opens the door and falls hard for Ruby and her dad. Cassie has a heart as wide as the ocean and she makes sure Flynn and that baby have what they need before he roughly dismisses her. Cassie is all sunshine and smiles and Flynn is convinced he doesn't deserve her and her brother Rory and father Ethan agree.
The Sullivan clan is large, gregarious, loving, loyal, successful and would do anything to protect each other. I want to be a part of this family! Ms. Andre's characters are well written and it's very hard not to fall in love with them. The Maine Sullivan's are no different. This was a sweet story with some darkness that needs to be overcome. I wish I found a love like Ms. Andre writes about. If I can't have a love of my own at least I can live vicariously through the Sullivans and their partners!
None of this story came across as believable or relatable at all. It felt contrived and formulaic without any genuine connection to the characters.
She was too sweet, constantly happy and wholesome to feel real, while he seemed to trust her almost instantly, which seems completely ridiculous, given he’s come from a lifetime of distrust, both as a child from an abusive background and as an adult from Hollywood and all its fakeness, dishonesty and people using each other.
Also, I really HATE the whole father and brother being rude, unwelcoming and suspicious towards the male love interest under the guise of ‘protecting’ their dear, sweet, innocent daughter and sister. FFS, the whole ‘overprotective’ males just ‘looking out’ for the females of the family is just sexist bullshit. She’s a grown woman - she has the right to make her own choices and make whatever mistakes she wants. Just like all the males in the family seem to be able to do without having every choice they make scrutinised, judged and criticised. They obviously have a very low opinion of their daughter/sister if her judgment is not good enough for them and they need to tell her how to live her life.
This book took me to my happy place. Single dad with an adorable baby meets the woman of his dreams and she feels the same way. I can't tell you how many times I happy sighed as I read Your Love is Mine.
Cassie Sullivan is such a strong and sweet character. She was raised by strong parents to believe she can do anything she sets her mind to, and has become a candy confection artist. I really wish I could have seen pictures of some of her designs as they sounded amazing. She has the biggest heart and such a positive outlook on life and she made me smile each time she appeared on the page.
Flynn Stewart was not as lucky when he was growing up. He was raised by abusive and addicted parents and he was the one who had to protect his younger sister Sarah. When he escaped his hometown at 17 and reinvented himself with a new name and background, he never thought his past would meet up with the present. However, when his sister dies and he becomes his niece’s guardian, his past and present collides and he must find a safe place to protect Ruby.
Babies in books can be hit or miss with me. Bella Andre knocked it out of the park with Ruby. She was super cute and in just the right number of scenes to make the story work. I loved that Cassie fell for both Ruby and Flynn from the moment she met them both.
I loved seeing Flynn and Cassie fall in love. Cassie knew from the moment they met, while Flynn fought his feelings because of his past. I love before they became serious, Flynn shared his past with Cassie. I would have had an issue with half-truths being between them honestly.
I loved how Flynn started seeing his past in a different light after opening up about his past with Cassie. As he wrote his new screenplay, which was completely different from anything he had written before, he became more open and couldn’t hold back his love for either Ruby or Cassie. I hated he didn’t feel originally he was good enough for Cassie because of his past; it pretty much broke my heart.
Your Love is Mine was such an amazing start to the Maine Sullivan part of the family. Much as with all the other Sullivan family members, I loved each one as soon as I met them. After 19 books with this amazing family, I hope we never have to say goodbye to this series. Ms. Andre once again gives her readers a beautiful story filled with lots of love, romance and family. I highly recommend every single book in this series!

OH! MY!! GOODNESS!!! What a phenomenal beginning to the latest branch of the spectacular Sullivan series!!! I freaking loved Cassie and Flynn, then add in little Ruby, and I was over the moon in love with these three wonderful, real, characters. Then, the emotions that Flynn’s history brought into the story, da..darn, I cried so hard for that little boy. Seeing what a wonderful man he turned into t blew my mind. And now, how the nanny betrayed him and little Ruby… I wanted to slap that er… witch very hard across the face. I was so happy when Flynn started to overcome his mistrust in people, how he began to see thru Cassie, and her family that everyone was not out to get something from him. I FLOVED this book so much!! I just could not stop turning the pages and reading ever single word, I just did not want or could stop. And then, darn it, I was done reading the fabulous book. However, there was only one tiny problem I had with this book. For me, it ended way to soon, because I was not able to slow down while reading it, so, alas it finished for me way to soon. This is a very good thing. It shows how well Ms. Andre captures her reading audience, well me anyway. Thank you, Ms. Andre for sharing your freaking fabulous writing abilities with your readers. I for one, greatly appreciate the hours and hours of reading enjoyment I have had while reading your wonderful books. I was gifted with a copy of this book, and in my humble opinion if you love the romance genre for reading, you can not go wrong with purchasing this book for your reading enjoyment. Thank you for reading my review.
This story touched me in away most books only wish they could. I can't think of another author that has written a character that I can identify with so deeply. I get Flynn Stewart. I understand his actions. I feel his pain. I relish in his success. But most of all I am so happy that he let himself love. Everyone deserves real love, even those that have never experienced it in their past. Maybe them more than most. Flynn is the perfect candidate to become a member of the Sullivan extended family. How many of us wish we could be part of the family?
I can't believe that I am jealous after reading this story. Why can't I be a Sullivan??? I want to be part of a close knit family. I want to be surrounded by the deep love and devotion. Distance does not matter. Honest, love and acceptance make up this strong family no matter where they live. After all it was Smith Sullivan that suggested Flynn Stewart escape to Bar Harbor. Escape to Cassie's cabin. Find peace.
Cassie has never seen one of Flynn's movies but that doesn't stop the connection. She knows he is there to get away from it all, to get to know Ruby, a baby he has adopted after her parent's tragic death. No one knows anything else. Flynn does not share his past, his present, his heart.
Flynn can't deny the connection but he has choose not to act on it, or so he thinks. Your Love is Mine is a amazing love story. Your Love is Mine is a story of failed resistance. Your Love is Mine is a story of love conquering all, tearing down walls, catching someone when they fall. Your love is mine is what we all want even when we are afraid to admit it. We all have a little bit of Flynn in us when what we actually need is to have a little bit of Cassie in us.
3/13/2019 I can't believe it but this story was even better the second time around. I wonder how long it will be before I pick it up again.
