Rate this book
A full-color, single-source guide to creating and using grids in design Featuring full-color exemplary print designs and the grids that underpin each piece of work, this is at once a sourcebook of creative ideas, a guidebook for creating successful grids, and a digital tool ready for immediate use. Each spread shows a final printed piece on the left-hand page, while the right-hand page offers the grid reproduced in a monochrome tint of blue, with the grid overprinted in black, along with all specifications needed to create the grid. The accompanying CD offers all 90 grids in InDesign and QuarkXPress formats (indd and qxd). Lucienne Roberts (London, England) is the founder of the design studio Sans + Baum. A signatory of the First Things First 2000 Manifesto, Roberts is a regular contributor to Eye, Grafik, and other design magazines and author of several graphic design books.
