From Simon & Schuster, The Biggest Game of Them All by Mike Celizic tells the incredible story of Notre Dame and Michigan State in the fall of 1966.
Celizic provides readers with a look at the epic gridiron showdown between Notre Dame and Michigan State with play-by-play commentary through the lens of football and television.
Not quite as exciting as watching the Game of the Century live, as I did on our black and white TV in 1966. But what could be? This is a detailed book that might have too much crammed into it for most readers. I really enjoyed the reflections on college life and football, and how 1966 was on the cusp of massive changes.
