This was a fantastic book. We all have moments in our life that really are important and until we look back we often don't see the whole picture. This book shared many examples of people who followed the spirit and the results that came from that. They also shared many bad examples. I am so Grateful I have a guide to help me and if I do heed that voice and live worthy of it....I will Be Blessed and Be Able to Bless Other Live's too.
This book is about the decisions we make in those defining moments of our life. When you get to the end of a road and can only turn left or right, the direction you turn will change the course of your travels. The same can be said for life. Some of the choices we make can change the entire course of our life.
Life happens at 100 mph. There are small moments in our lives that can become defining moments. Many good stories about people that chose correctly when nobody was watching, or when the person had knowledge that nobody would ever find out. Basically, making correct decisions should be not only a public but private matter.
Great book! Each chapter contains stories about how the small moments in life effect both you and those around you and that it's your choice which direction you are heading in life. I have a quote by President Thomas S. Monson hanging in my home that sums this book up - "Decisions determine destiny."
Vacillated between 3 and 4 stars, as sometimes the vignettes were a touch too short and the "see? decisions in the moment have a long-lasting effect" could come off as a wee bit too preachy/insensitive. However, there are many interesting accounts in the book, particularly in the beginning, and great quotes throughout that have me searching out the original talks to read.
A good read - discusses how things happen for a reason and that how we react to others and act upon circumstances truly define our character and who we will ultimately become.
wow--can't say enough about what I learned. All about how a choice now can change the future radically. And some of the choices are fairly inocuous! A must read!
