Years ago I was part of a druid grove, and one of the women told me about a vision she'd had at Rollright. I asked for her permission to borrow it for a story. It took several drafts to get this one right - at first it was a fairly gentle pagan romance thing, but it evolved.

Reincarnation is a really common theme in pagan romance writing. Two souls who are destined to be together, who find each other in different lifetimes... it's a spin on the notion of eternal love. But there are other things that might draw souls together, darker bonds, ones that are less easy to accept and deal with.

So I wondered what would happen if two people are drawn to each other, but one of them has past life memories that make the whole thing a lot more troubling. What can you trust? What do you do?

Raven and Lew know they've been together before. It's never been pretty. Beiing around each other might well kill one, or both of them. Again.
