Jean Adamson was a British writer and illustrator of children's books. She was best known for the Topsy and Tim books, the first of which was published in 1960 and which have sold 27 million copies. Adamson's creations were also featured widely on television in 84 episodes of Topsy and Tim.

Lovely book that explains really well to younger children about visiting the dentist.

Miss 3 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.

This was a dentist themed picture book that I chose. I like Topsy and Tim, I found their hospital quite useful. I think the version of this we read used a different illustrator but it was definitely a helpful book and for a while encouraged Miss 3 to drink more water!
