This series is so sweet. The second book should have been boring because the story was exactly the same as in the first book, Cat and Mouse, only with rain, and I bet the next one won't be novel, either, but somehow this made it better. In fact, I think I'll go give the first book another star now.

Young cat and mouse from the first book are still friends. I'm glad for them. They meet every day to play, but then one day it rains. Scary! (They were only just beginning to explore the world in the first book, so presumably this is the first rain they have seen.) What can they do in the rain?

Cute little story about two unlikely friends who learn to have fun in the rain. Cute pictures that children will appreciate, along with a message of togetherness and harmony.

Picture Book: I thought it was sweet that the cat and mouse were friends and became friends with the frog. It was an unlikely friendship that they were all okay with.

Cat wants to go outside to play with his friend Mouse, but Cat's family warns him that it is going to rain. Mouse wants to go outside to play with his friend Cat, but Mouse's family warns him that it is going to rain. Cat and Mouse go outside anyway and have the best time with their new friend Frog!

A nice story about meeting new friends that are unfamiliar and realizing that you can have fun with them. Even though before, you thought that they would not make a good friend. The Cat and the Mouse realize that they CAN have fun together playing in the rain. The pictures are very artistic. It is a nice story to read to small children as it has about 2 sentences per page and big pictures.

3.5* A fun story of friends and playing together despite the weather. There was some questions as to the drawing especially with them sitting (It was still a fun classical sketching style). It was a good book all the same with simple adventures causing enjoyment over magic!
