This book was sexy, suspenseful, angsty, and was a good enough read to keep me engaged until the end. I enjoyed the shutdown as Bella showed her discontent with silence and space. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is my first book that I have read by this author and I can happily say this book did not disappoint👏🏼

This book follows Nico who is out for revenge against his enemy Alessandro due to him killing his sister in a car accident years prior, which evidently resulted in the heartbreak and loss of his parents also. Now Nico’s plan of revenge involves him taking Alessandro’s sister Isabella and marrying her, thus a sister for a sister.

Nico puts his plans in motion by introducing himself to Isabella but he does not introduce himself as Nico but rather as Marcello. Nico romances Isabella off her feet, while also falling for her in the process. It is quite adorable as even though he has a plan of “revenge” set in motion he absolutely worships the ground Isabella walks on😩

Finally when everything came to light my heart absolutely shattered for Isabella 😭 The couple does become cold and distant but Nico eventually earns his way back into Isabella’s good graces🫶🏼

I have read quite a few mafia romances and while Nico is your typical possessive alpha MMC, this book definitely falls on the more lighter side of books I have previously read which is definitely quite a pallet cleanser.

Now that Savage Vows is here,i thought it was time to start with the first book in the series,Vengeful Vows.
Since the series is not only in the Titans world,but includes the Moretti mafia,it sounded good to me.
Having finished,i have to say i didn’t see as much of the mafia side as i would’ve liked,but it’s there…
As for Vengeful,Nico may have been certain he’d get it,but i don’t think he expected it to feel the way it did…
And even though Bella was reluctant to love someone again after being hurt so badly,she fell quick….
So quick that i wondered about it,to be honest.
Sure,he was goodlooking and charming,but his behaviour should’ve made her think twice.
He steamrolled her,pushing his way into her life in a way that made all my alarmbells ring!
And i know,once she learned the truth,she knew she didn’t have any other choice,but to marry him if she wanted her brother safe.
But said brother could’ve been more grateful…..more deserving of what she was doing for him!
She did grow a spine after they married,though.
Even if they wére having sex,that was all she gave him,and rightfully so!
Nico would have to do his véry best to make up for what he’d done to her.
So,did he grovel? Did he plead? Did he give her everything she deserved?

I enjoyed this one,it had all the emotions,even without the story having a lot of depth.
And i think i will go ahead as planned….with Savage Vows

This plot had potential, and it's great to read how H found his feeling toward h changed and regretted what he originally wanted to do. I'd like to read more epilogue though.

It would be better if we got to know what exactly happened to H's sister and h's brother all those years ago and h's brother seemed weak to me.

Start of the Titans: Moretti Mafia series I will see so make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Nico sexy as get out part of the mafia family, harden after losing his sister, watching his parents suffer due to her loss, deciding to allow revenge to be his guidance he is ruthless most days, heartless to the point you want to hate him, dangerous every day, and will protect the ones he loves to a fault. Bella is a sweetheart she is innocent in all the dealings of her brother yet when she meets a really nice guy’s sexy guy, who makes her feel like a queen, but having hurt before she tries to resist the pull but eventually, he gains her trust and gives in to the man that sends her heart into overdrive. Nico however never expected to fall for the women who was just for revenge in fact the more he told himself that, the harder he fell for her until it all came to a head but they were married now forced to be with a women who feels he never loved her she was just revenge and that act forced her to find her backbone and she started pushes back, forcing him to take a look at the man in the mirror so to speak, to own up to his feelings but by the time he is willing to admit the truth will, it be too late, have he lost his wife, will he be able to convince her of his love after breaking her heart, will she ever find it in her heart to forgive him or trust him completely ever again, and can they have something more than revenge?

This is a well written book with strong characters in Nico and Bella. The author brings a story of revenge and hate to falling in love. It's a great mafia read with danger, lies, chemistry and emotions. I loved this story and am looking forward to the next book.

Nico is out for Alessandro and Bella get caught in the cross-hair which should've never happen.

Bella and Marcella aka Nico have a bumpy and angsty road to HEA and it was just what I was in the mood for :)

Nico is set in his course for revenge against Bella's brother for his part in Nico's little sister's death. Nothing and no one can get in his way, not even innocent Bella.

But nothing goes to plan when Nico realizes that Bella has worked her way under his skin and deep into his cold revenge hungry heart.

This was the perfect angsty and tension filled romance between two people, both set in their ways and not ready to back down for their family. When both MCs are loyal and devoted to their families like Nico and Bella, it just fed into the emotional chaos of will they, wont they.

The only thing I didn't like was Bella's brother. He was too spineless and the way he was willing to sacrifice Bella for his own protection grinded my gears. Such a weak person. I felt sorry for his wife :(

Other than that small annoying glitch, I highly recommend. I loved how Nico fell hard and fast for his enemy's sister and I loved that Bella loved Nico but made him work for her forgiveness.

I enjoyed reading book one from the Titans/Moretti series. Bella and Nico, aka Marcello are two characters brought together so Nico can carry out a revenge plot for the death of his sister who was then married to Allesandro, Bella's brother.

Nico introduces himself as Marcello and pursues Isabella at a heightened pace to gain her trust and attraction which ends in their engagement. Everything she thought she knew about Marcella is a lie. Nico never planned on following in love with Bella. When Allesandro is finally introduced to Nico then the real story begins. Bella is devastated and reluctantly goes forth with the wedding to stop Nico's further attempts to hurt her brother.

The couple gets married and enters into a sexual relationship, but literally have nothing to do with each other in day to day life. They appear together when its necessary but otherwise keep their distance. Nico finds himself craving Bella even more and falling deeper in love with her while Bella fights her affections and desire for Nico. She is a very strong MFC, unlike too many in this genre that are not and extremely disappointing.

Secrets are revealed and Nico must finally accept what he has done and how it has effected the relationship he and his wife have. Our H must decide whether "revenge is a dish better served up cold" or whether revenge at this point in time is worth a lifetime of misery with the woman you love and who loves you despite how things began.

I will definitely read more of this author's books.

I really liked this book! To get back at Allesandro for the death of his sister, Nico plots to take his sister, Bella, marry her then break her. He ends up meeting her at the night of Allesandro's engagement party where he tells Allesandro and not to interfere. He then introduces himself to Belle as Marcello Donati and from that night on they are dating. He wines and dines her and treats her good, making her fall in love with him. Then once they get engaged he invites Allesandro to dinner to tell him the news, but it backfires on him when Allesandro tells Belle who Marcello really is and why he is really doing what he is doing. Belle is then heartbroken but she must go with the wedding. They end up getting married but their relationship is strained. Finally Belle tells him that his sister wouldn't have wanted him to get revenge like this and if he really loved her that he would let her go. He ends up severing her divorce papers like she wanted but she doesn't sign. He knows he's in love with her and he really wants to make it work so finally on New Years Eve he does to her and opens his heart to her and tells her that he loves her. They end up renewing their vows the next day and it ends with an HEA!.

I felt a genuine sense of outrage as Nico manipulated Bella into falling in love with a version of himself that didn’t exist in revenge for something her brother had done. It seemed like there was a real connection as he wooed her so patiently and tenderly. So, it was no surprise that Bella never saw his betrayal coming and was left heartbroken as she realized she was just a pawn with no way out. Nico’s trap was perfectly executed, leaving Bella at his mercy. Although she learns Nico is not the man she thought he was, Bella never stops loving him entirely, which makes it all the harder for her when forced into marriage. As Nico proves to be dominant in and out of the bedroom, Bella’s anguish at what she sees as a loveless union, is only compounded by the incredible sex. I think the reason I love these dark/revenge romances so much is the almost cathartic moment when the whole plan begins to crumble as feelings become involved. I couldn’t wait for Nico to realize what he was letting slip through his fingers, but would it all be too little, too late? The pacing of the story was amazing and had me racing to the ending, though I wanted Nico to suffer just a little more on Bella’s behalf.

Two families that are entwined because of pain and sorrow. Nico is determined to get revenge for what he sees as a wrong to his family, Poor Bella will take the brunt of his actions even though she had nothing to do with what happened. Nico is a force to be reckoned with and what he does to Bella is hurtful and wrong. Yet there is a true connection and attraction between the two that cannot be denied. When all is said and done can love find its way to these two?
This is an engaging read. The characters and plot are strong and I was quickly pulled in to their world. I loved that Bella is her own woman and can stand up for herself. It was nice to see the way Nico developed and began to understand what he was doing and the depth and truth of his emotions. The two are good together and seeing the what their love could be made for a nice read. Their journey is a hard one full of ups and downs and we see that love is hard to fight. This is a great start to this series and I am eager to see what will come next.

An enjoyable story by Sierra Cartwright that is a little different than most of her stories, because there is less emphasis on BDSM and sex, and more on the personal interactions of the two principal characters. Nico comes from a Mafia family – he lost his sister, which was devastating to him and his parents – in an accident involving Alessandro, son of another family. Out for revenge, he decides to marry Isabella, the sister of Alessandro, and make her life very difficult.

The story doesn’t develop as he expects because they both develop feelings for the others – feelings that are temporarily put on the back burner when Isabella discovers the scheme of Nico – but in the end the models of some other happily married older couples in Nico’s family helps to lead both of them to an HEA.

They are both strong and intelligent, and their story is interesting enough to keep you involved and wondering how things can turn out better. I received a free copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nico is a very dangerous man. Being a member of a powerful Mafia family gives him all sorts of resources. When he plots a plan to avenge his sister’s death by punishing the man responsible by using his sister as a pawn.

Having been burned by love, Bella tries to resist the enigmatic man. Nico is determined to make Bella fall in love with him, then marry him. No longer able to fight his pull, Bella falls hard for Nico. What Nico doesn’t expect is the effect Bella is having on him. Determined to pull off his plan, Nico continues his revenge plot. Bella falls more in love with Nico, and he finds it tough to resist her. When Nico’s plan blows up in his face, he’s forced to face some ugly truths about himself. And Bella must do the same despite her strong feelings for him.

In addition to his revenge plot, Nico also has family business to deal with, each pulling all his focus. I really enjoyed this story. The family dynamics of both Nico and Bella were intriguing and plays a part in both their hearts. I’m looking forward to more of this series.

It was fast, with little to no buildup, Nico lying about his identity was a betrayal and I didn't like that. It would be better if he was truthful and forced her rather than lie and make her fall in love. It seemed like the writer wanted to add depth to the characters and the story but she stopped as soon as she started. The brother forced his sister to marry Nico just so he and his wife wouldn't lose their money and business. THATS ALL it was a threat to his life just his business and it could have been shown in a better way.

It seemed like there was a lack of want to write the story because it seemed rushed and forced. Nico was made the consigliere to the don but he was always clueless and not confident in his abilities if he had them.

I hate when writers do that it's fiction and you're writing all this nonsense at least make it believable.


Overall- Do not read it, the other reviews are a trap.
I hate when writers do injustice to their characters. Nico and Bella could have been so much better.

Mafiaeseque type romance which has an extremely good story more about family, love, loss, grief and revenge than anything else.

The impact of Nico's sister's death has governed Nico's actions for years. His desire for revenge has known no boundaries and when he finally gets to have Isabella his retribution is not the sweet paradise he thought it would be.

Cartwright is an amazing and excellent story teller and this is the first mafiaeseque novel of hers I have read. As the story goes it's mild: very little profanity, no violence. Instead it Is a romance driven story about an alpha male, his mafia style family and the problems that hide within that family. There's tension and chemistry dripping from the pages as Nico's plans fall apart when he realises her has fallen in love with the woman who now hates him.

Vengeful Vows is the 1st book in the Titans Moretti Mafia series. It's quite a departure from other books in the Titans world in that it is very light on kink and on sexy times. Fortunately, for a Mafia themed book, there is also no physical violence. For me, it was a tale of two halves. The first covers quite some time, but feels very slow moving, as Nico plays Bella to perfection. The second is when things get really interesting as she discovers her backbone and pushes back, forcing him to take a closer look at his feelings. I enjoyed the underlying theme of family commitment and friendship and it was also great to get cameo appearances from other Titans. There's a happy ending for the couple and a hint of what's to come next.

Bella and Nico have this deeply intense chemistry, but it’s marred by his long sought after revenge. She’s his target in his plan, but the heart doesn’t care about a person’s anger or hurt. Bella works hard, is intelligent, thoughtful, and a genuinely nice woman. She’s inexperienced and Nico overwhelms her at times with his dominance, his overpowering personality, and his sensuality.

Sierra Cartwright writes romance with strong characters, decadent dialogue, and a story that conveys the couple’s connection and their path towards love. Nico is a stubborn man who has expectations, but learns from his mistakes with a little help. Bella and Nico are a fiery couple sexually and their emotional connection grows stronger as he works out his true desires. I loved their story!.

Vengeful Vows is Book 1 of Titans Moretti Mafia. This is Nico and Bella's story. Nico Moretti and Alessandro Calabrese are enemies, because Alessandro was driving the car that Nico's sister Lucia was killed in. Nico has been planning on getting revenge ever since.
Nico romances Bella getting her to fall for him. It is heartbreaking and hurtful when Bella finds out that Nico was only using her. Nico didn't realize he would have feelings for Bella. The characters are great, steamy scenes, and action.

Wow, I was absolutely astounded reading this book it was amazing, the story was written well and the characters were really captivating. This story was about Nico Moretti and Isabella, Nico is a ruthless, dark, gorgeous male he comes from a very big dangerous Mafia family that will stop at nothing to get what they want. Isabella has always lived a shelted life, she has never known what her brother did for a living. There are a lot of secrets that has caused anger, pain, revenge, lies, but there is so much more emotions with betrayal, lies, secrets, then there is the twist and turns, action, danger, violence, enemies, trauma. What will happen once these two Wed.

A comfort quick read for me. Got potential but the fact that the h was kinda okay with the 'speed dating' was crazy. It literally went from 0-10000 in 2 seconds. The mafia side was more of plot filler than one of the major plot, romance side was just okay, nothing special. The ending was lacking, no baby/ies at all. A little disappointed since they talked about kids pretty early in the book.

Vengeful vows is a mafia romance, where a forced marriage between Nico and Bella will complete Nicos desire to have revenge. Only it's not a purely transactional relationship, as feelings develop by both parties.

This is the first book standalone) of this new series, Moretti Titans: Mafia. Nico has spent years setting up a plan to avenge his sister’s death—he lost his parents prematurely as a result. As he puts his plan into motion, he realises that what would have given him satisfaction years ago is not what he needs now. Even Mafia men have wives and families who are with them for life. Isabella proves that you can’t make someone love you, no matter how well you connect physically. I really enjoyed the first part of their story and felt crushed for both of them when all is revealed. I love when the MMC struggles with feelings—admitting them, having them, owning them—and this story did not disappoint. A cameo appearance by Rafe Sterling, which is always welcome.

This is great story but a tiny bit darker that the author normally writes. This is story of misguided revenge where Nico romances Bella to the point she has fallen in love with him. Only to find out that he only went after her for revenge against Bella's brother. Once the house of cards comes crashing down, it seems that something will have to change. Bella is hurt and Nico is well on his way to losing her. Time will tell. This book is set in the world of the Titans and while it very briefly mentions the secret society, it is more focuses on the Moretti Mafia family. A very enjoyable story.

I love a good revenge story, especially if it's Mafia. Nico was out to destroy his enemy by taking his little sister but you know plans go by the wayside when he starts falling for her for real. Bella was feisty and smart. When the truth comes out about why Nico was interested in her, she was crushed but stood her ground. I really wanted to sm@ck him upside the head and I wanted him to have to do a bit more groveling but I was fine with the HEA for them. Sierra Cartwright is one of my favorite authors and anything she writes is something I know I'm going to need to read. Really want the next book now!

Nico Moretti is out for vengeance for the death of his sister and doesn't care if an innocent person is destroyed on the way. Bella's brother was the driver of car whose accident caused Nico's sister's death years ago, but Nico plans to use the innocent Bella pay for her brother's "sins". But he never expected Bella to be so beautiful, strong, smart, caring, and resilient. I love the Titans mixed with the mafia. This book is, as all Sierra Cartwright's books, well paced, great characters, full pop sizzle, steam, action., drama, and so much more. I loved this book from start to finish.

This was, it just did, I mean I, I stayed up way past my bedtime reading this book because I could not put it down! It had so many things that made it not-put-downable, including revenge marriage, virgin heroine, emotionally stunted hero, danger, because hello, mafia family!!! Add in the loyalist best friend ever, loving and wise aunt, and some surprise appearances by drool-worthy Titans, and yeah, I devoured every word and hung on every plot point. Everything is sharp and fresh in this series starter, and I already want more right now <3

Lies, deceit and revenge is what this story starts as. Nico Moretti has one goal and one goal only, vengeance and he'll stop at nothing and use anyone necessary to achieve that. Bella Calabrese is the one in his sights. Unfortunately for her, her brother, Alessandro is the one Nico is out for. But things don't always happen the way you intend and Nico finds himself in far more enjoyable situation. Vengeful Vows is my first read by this author and I can't wait to see what else she has out there.
