The first half of the book is a good guide to canoeing Maine's Allagash waterway by a very experienced guide. The second half of the book is an interesting fictionalized account of the lives of a Wabnaki clan a thousand years ago, as they lived before Europeans arrived.

This book was great and this book has given me a lot more information about maine agriculture and why the State of Maine is the way it is today. This book is great for people that want to read and learn more about Maine.
