The doorstop-sized book is a formidable reading venture (1183 pages).
This tome is an unsurpassed source of information on a ruthless, unprincipled autocracy that amassed a fortune in the armaments industry then built a company (BMW). Sustained through forced labor and slave labor, profits and connections enabled the war machine during WW II. The business milieu in the 1950s conveniently whitewashed the activities of the 1940s in order to support the economic demands of post-war era.
Such a book deserves to be translated into English, French, Italian, Polish, etc., so that the details here are available to a larger circle of interested readers, including families and descendents of Holocaust survivors = forced laborers.
Then again, it is plausible that the Quandt dynasty may have reservations that the nature and substance of the incriminating details found in this well-researched account be accessible to the world outside of German-speaking Europe.
