"Perfect for newcomers to the yaoi genre."-AnimeFringe.com The romantic adventures continue as Iwaki and Katou engage in a ten-day sexual romp that leaves them both exhausted and eventually affects Iwaki's day job as an adult film star. But things take a turn for the worse when Iwaki finally confesses his love for Katou . . . a statement that the impossibly beautiful blond does not want to hear . . . and neither does Iwaki's mortified family!
Youka Nitta (新田祐克 correct pronunciation: Yuuka Nitta) is a Japanese manga artist.
Her illustration debut was in 1994, in 小説Charade. She is one of the few Boys' Love manga-ka whose works are enjoyed by both straight women (the main target audience) and gay men. Her manga debut was Be-Boy's 1995 release of "Groupie." Recently she temporarily quit writing manga after a scandal involving her plagiarism of many magazine photographs. According to The Yaoi Review (2009-12-31), she is back with a continuation of an ongoing manga to be released in English in February. Her moe point is older ukes.
This 3rd installment is even better than Vol. 2. We get to see how both of them overcome misunderstandings and also some potential scandals that could jeopardize their budding relationship and advancing career.
We also get to see Iwaki softening towards Kato as he begins to understand Kato better and starts to appreciate having him around. So yea, Iwaki has fallen completely under Kato's spell in this volume.
On the side note, Kato's amorous attention and vigor of youth is a test to Iwaki's patience and stamina. Lol :3 Kato just wants it everyday. He is that smitten with Iwaki. Poor Iwaki san. *chortling*
In this volume, they are...
The short notes at the end of the story courtesy of Nitta sensei is always a pleasure to read. We even get to see what's in both Iwaki and Kato's bag. It was so entertaining. I love getting to know more about them this way too. It was quite personal.
I really don't know why the artstyle is so wacky in the first few chapters but if you just get through the first 5-6 then it really changes for the better! Embracing love, especially if we take into consideration that it was written and illustrated back in 1999-2009, is a very well-written story, not perfect but very enjoyable! The main characters (Iwaki and Katou) really draw you in with their personalities and you just can't put the story down. Of course, you'll have to keep in mind that this is a yaoi so many explicit scenes are included.
Okay, back in the day, I loved this series. Why? Because gay. That’s literally the only reason I loved it, alongside a lot of other yaoi manga. But then, I got older, smarter, and learned some fucked up shit about life, and then, I returned to most of the yaoi manga I once read. And absolutely hated a lot of them.
All of them, that I ended up hating later in life, involved incest, toxic relationships, rape, borderline rape, slavery, underage, and cringe. You decide which of those fits best with this series.
I didn't understand why Iwaki kept calling Katou selfish. It rang rather untrue to me. But once again, the art was amazing and the sex incredibly hot. It's just too bad that the writing wasn't all that good.
This is the last volume that I own and I don't think I'll try to get my hands on the rest available. I think that there are better yaoi manga out there.
Iwaki and Katou have moved in their newly built house. Now they hear Iwaki has not been invited to his mothers funeral. Iwaki is torn up dealing with his estranged family.
I love how sensei York’s Nitta artwork show a sensual flow in the lines of the clothing. Her men are always dressed so sexy.
The cousin/lover of the author is 17 in this manga, how old was he then in the volume with the «orgy» in it?! A lot of time has clearly passed since then, and that is a bit disturbing :/ Otherwise a great volume that really shows how far iwaki has come in his love for kato!
The third volume is full of dynamic between Iwaki and Kato and yes plenty of sex scenes this time. Iwaki finally opened his heart to Kato, but faced jealousy which plague Kato. What men are they :)
