In his first erotic book in many years, fine art photographer David Vance offers his nod to classicism in Greek and Roman sculpture with his stunning images of the male physique. All of the images offer some of the most fantastic in dramatic lighting, finely sculpted muscles and uniquely male poses. While Mr. Vance is a well-established commercial photographer, working for some of the worlds most prominent magazines like Cosom and Rolling Stone, this new book offers one more example of his timeless and genuine for the male physique. His previous books for Bruno Gmünder have long since sold out.

Normally I love anything Greek or Roman inspired, but I think this editorial decision weakened the body of work presented here. The poses come off a bit too Herculean, too contrived — adding up to a quite banal collection of the male nude. Disappointed!
