Highly recommend all of Allan Fowler’s books for beginning readers. Perfect for learning about the natural world and taking a break from fiction/storybooks.
A basic, introductory book about moon phases. My toddler loves all things space related, and he really enjoyed this book. Simple text, lots of pictures.
3.5☆ I liked the photographs and the length was appropriate for young learners, but there was too much emphasis on the moon in the sky versus the science of full moon, new moon, crescent moon, etc. or as the title suggests, why the moon changes shape. My preschool science friends enjoyed reading it with me, but I might rewrite a few pages for next year.
This book would be good for introducing the moon phases to kids under 2nd grade, so either pre-k, kindergarten, or first grade would be the grades I recommend. It is a really quick easy read.
