Just like the moon affects the ocean tides, it also affects our bodies. This book goes into detail about how we can order our life in harmony with, not against, nature. For example, the waning moon detoxifies, dries, consolidates, and prompts to action. The waxing moon supplies, absorbs, gathers strength, and prompts to rest and recovery. Therefore, it is ideal to order your life accordingly. The sad thing is, I refer to this book more than I look at the moon and commune with nature, which is one of the first things the author warns you about. It's so easy to become detached from nature, and most people in our industrialized society are. This book makes me hunger for intimate contact with nature, so that I can really learn what this book is talking about through keen awareness and first-hand experience.
