An interesting look at the Civil War as the author believes the participants thought and spoke. How much is fact and how much is fiction is left to the reader's (or listener's) discretion. If Lee really sent troops into battle while saying their fate was in God's hands, neglecting that he was the one sending them, then de drops even further in my esteem, which wasn't that great to start.
