An inspiring book which will have you smiling, laughing and crying. Tina and Chandi made such a huge impact when they appeared on Britain's Got Talent. Their story (along with Pepper's) shows how love and patience brings happiness and rewards. It champions rescue dogs who are often overlooked by one-dimensional people. Tina, Pepper and Chandi all had obstacles to overcome and together they succeeded. Tina narrates their story beautifully in this book.

I'm no book expertise, but Tina has certainly done a fabulous job on making sure this book really tugs at peoples heart strings, and gets you stuck in to it. Knowing how strong Tina and Chandis relationship is is absolutely wonderful, and a must-read to any dog lover (or anyone who understands the unconditional love an animal can give you!)

One of the most well-rounded, heartwarming books I have ever read!!! -Love, Life with Lessons.

After a non-stop, cannot put down read of Tina Humphrey's book Chandi: the rescue dog who stole a nation’s heart, where the book takes you inside a devoted love between a daughter and mother, but also inside a relationship showing what the endless love between human and canine can achieve that is truly inspiring to any reader. You will never know among the chapters if you will be crying tears of sadness or tears of utter joy and inspiration. That or chuckling out loud at Chandi’s antics and adventures.

You cannot help when finishing this book to want even more of a relationship with your own dog. Tina’s relationship with her Pepper and Chandi are only proof of what you can be achieved when you do not stop at the basics and move ahead with total, yet equal trust, respect and forever love. Always wanting the very best and not settling for less, not only in any kind of training you might pursue, but most important in your lifelong relationship you desire with your very own pet.

I stated this book was most “well-rounded” and that being, not only do you get a beautiful, yet true love story but you also get life lessons about unconditional love. And with that, there are truly are no limits. But as a special bonus, Tina somehow in her talented writing style, weaves in her own tips on training, dog nutrition and care! Including these into the chapters and fitting so well that the reader does not know its coming, but immediately takes note. To achieve this and the skill to include them all in one single wonderful book is nothing short of amazing, but also achieving them in life... Well, Tina and Chandi sure are “dancing proof” it can be done and done extremely well!

I won this book through GoodReads First Reads Giveaways in exchange for an honest review. So here goes...

I remember seeing Tina and Chandi on Britain's Got Talent and being very impressed. So when I saw this book listed in the giveaways I really wanted it! It's one thing to see something like Chandi the Amazing Dancing Dog on the TV and think that was good, but what makes it even better for me now is learning the back story. Finding out how Tina and Chandi met, began dancing together, all their amazing achievements, the highs and very sad lows of their story. This book made me laugh and cry. It kept me so entertained that I didn't want to put it down. When I did finish it, I wanted more. I also had to look up videos of them on YouTube to enjoy them dancing all over again.

I think Tina, Pepper and Chandi are all so lucky to have (had )each other. Bonds like what they share(d) are so special and rare. Thank you so much Tina and Chandi for sharing your inspirational story. I know my Grandma and Aunt (Serious Dog Lovers) will love this book. So I'm going to get them copies too! This book is not just for dog lovers though - I think every human being can learn something from it!

This is a beautiful insight into Tina and Chandi's story. In a very self-effacing way, Tina tells how she rescued Chandi and took her to the dizzy heights of Crufts success and Britain's Got Talent fame. We learn about the heartaches and hurdles Tina had to overcome right from the start and are given many insights into the emotions and events behind their wonderful performances. We get to know Pepper, Tina's first 'dancing dog' and also read about Tina's early years and her loving friendship with her Mum. Tina Humphrey is without doubt a very talented and intelligent lady, yet she is entirely humble in her story telling as she urges you to live in the moment just as she has with her wonderful dogs. A treat of a read and long may they dance!

A dog named Chandi was given by Tina who is the author of this book, has touched the hearts of the nations with their fantastic dance routines on Britain's Got Talent. Starting from here, the writer wants to share a heart warming memoir about her life journey with Chandi.

Before Tina take Chandi as her pet, she has her first dog in her life, Pepper. Through this collaboration, Tina began to learn the animal's behavior. Every show and competition that they participated in paid off and they won a various prizes even if it was a consolation.

Pepper and Chandi have quite different character. Pepper needed to be motivated and inspired to engage with Tina. Chandi, on the other hand, was keener to work but she was very sensitive and if she sensed that Tina wasnt happy with something, she would become clingy and upset.

Oneday, her dad was booked in for his operation of thyroid cancer. After the operation and further tests, though, Tina and her mom received the worse news; the cancer had spread to his liver and he was now terminally ill. Her dad died. Tina and her mom kiss his forehead as he took his last breath.

Tina had lost dad just 23 months earlier and now her mom had suffered for 9 months of breast cancer before disappearing in front of her eyes. After losing her mom, now she need to faced the losing her dog,Pepper. Pepper died in her arms at the fourth anniversary of mom’s death. Pepper pain was over but her pain and Chandi had just begun.

After Pepper died, Chandi stop eating and it took a quite a while for her ti start eating on her own again. The only thing Tina could think was to take Chandi food and go out to do some training. Training excited her and she didnt realize she was eating her dinner; she thought she was getting treats for a job well done.

The love Tina had for Chandi and still have for Pepper, they are her family. The devotion, loyalty and love that they have shown are so precious.

This book is certainly a must for any dog lover! I have to say I was totally overwhelmed with Tina and Chandi's story and the events that unfold. The book tells us of how Tina met Chandi, and how from that day on, they both became insepreble and shared a very close and special bond. It is clear that Tina has exceptional qualities having a wonderful talent with her Heelwork to Music, this enabling her to take both Pepper and Chandi to a high level of success. Through sheer commmitment and dedication Tina goes on to compete and gain huge success at many competitions and the prestigious Cruft title to eventually appearing on the much loved show Britains got Talent in which the whole nation are woed by Tina's amazing routines with her amazing dancing dog Chandi. However we learn that life had been somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster for Tina when faced with the unbearable heartache and cruel reality of life in which she encounters, leading to the sad loss of her beloved parents and her dutyful and devoted role in caring for them. I was intrigued from beginning to end in this book and I can only state I am a forever fan of Tina and Chandi!
