What a riveting conclusion! Though I did enjoy A Tremor in the Bitter Earth more, I certainly had a hard time putting this book down! I just wanted to know how it was all going to end! For such a long book it was a very fast read, but I must admit that I was a little disappointed at the rather rapid conclusion. Tullier was my favorite character in this series, and I did want to learn more about him even after the last page ended. I guess the ending overall felt a bit rushed to me (there were some surprise appearances at the end). My other bit of disappointment was that for a series involving identical twins, there was very little of Mervion in the actual book... I would have liked to see her play a larger role. I sincerely hope that Reimann returns to this detailed world and delightful characters some day in the future - I know I will be keeping an eye out for her! A Tremor in the Bitter Earth

I just adored this book series. It never let me down! They travel throughout the entire world and I wanted more more more! I can picture the cities visited, I understood the magic/supernatural elements easily. The characters have depth and surprise you. Must read!

Though it had been a few years since I had read the first two books I was quickly wrapped up into the world Katya Reimann created. I was a great read with a nice ending that tied up a lot of loose end. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Reimann's good guys are so compelling. I didn't want the story to end. That being said, this last novel in the series really did feel like it ended abruptly. Almost everyone got their just resolutions, but some of it left me scratching my head. Too many unanswered questions, though it is a beautiful tale, nonetheless.

This is the last part of the Tielmaran Chronicles and a great ending of one of the best witches tales I know. I have read it countless times and is still outstanding.

Too bad the author hasn't written anything else after this trilogy.

ok i petered out toward the end, having read through the whole trilogy in the space of a day or two. the ending seemed wrapped up awfully neatly (literal deus here, although deus ex machina, i suppose, is up for debate since it's quite obvious from the beginning tullier has the thunder goddess' favor) but all in all, neatly done. admittedly, there's a lot of short shrift towards characters that were supposed to play somewhat important roles (mervion, martin), but maybe i'm just put out that tullier is honestly the most interesting character in the series.
