Take a walk on the wild side with Anita Blake, star of the #1 New York Times bestselling series. These five novels of human-and inhuman-passions feature vampires, werewolves, and "a heroine as sharp as a stake and slick as a silver bullet" (J.D. Robb).
A collection of books 6-10: • The Killing Dance • Burnt Offerings • Blue Moon • Obsidian Butterfly • Narcissus in Chains

A series to re read and still not get old. After borrowing books from the library and falling in love with the series I just had to have my own copy. Great series a hardy combo of mystery, action, drama, erotic, lycanthropes, vampires, zombies and more. Warning the sex and violence can be a bit detailed at times. Consider that your warning.
Without a doubt, Anita and her guys get into the scariest and strangest situations. But I guess that's to be expected when you're a necromancer and licensed vampire executioner dating a vampire and a couple of shifters. Life can't get too much more complicated, can it?
I've read this series before just never in the collection. I love Anita and all her men and friends. I enjoy rereading the series and getting reaquainted with all the characters
This set of books were amazing! The author kept you glued to the books. It was very hard to put it away to even take cat naps. My family is used to seeing me do everything with a book/ebook but this series has hit the all time league around here (someone tried to get dressed while reading and was trying to put their shirt on as pants...no names need to be mentioned)! Anita Blake as the dominant female lead character is amazing. With every book, she grows and becomes life like to the reader. This author is amazing and I can’t wait to buy the next bundle of books in this series! Hope you all enjoy reading these books as much as I have!
These Anita Blake Vampire Hunter books in this collection are wonderful. They are full of action, mystery, sex, and romance, and love.. Not just romantic love but friendship love as well. The characters are paranormal but real lovable people. I recommend this collection and these books individually to everyone.
I love these compilation books. It makes getting through the series so much easier...no hunting for books, no reading list, just lovely time spent with Anita and her men!
I absolutely love 💘Mrs.Hamilton 'a books the Merry Gentry series and now the Anita Blake series and since we have a stay at home order because of Covid I get to spend my day's reading I always recommend Mrs.Hamiltons books 📚💮💯😷😷😷😵😵😵😍😍😍😍
good, but little long. great descriptions, but too many incidental characters that old be replaced with more anonymous ones. still solid plot and some spicy sections.
(Narcissus in Chains) Anita Blake is really the best story builder. Obviously you need to be open to paranormal and comfortable with sex to enjoy this series. This book brings you more to the BDSM side of sexual preference but it’s only a small part. Anita is raising in power and collecting more and more people who need her help. Anita is learning more of Jean Claude background and the penalty of life now that she’s been gone for 6 months.
Enjoy a smart, tough, kick butt heroine? Try this!
I am a big fan of the Anita Blake series. The stories are well written, flow at a fast pace, and at the center is the main character, Anita Blake, from whose perspective the narrative is from. Full of supernatural creatures both good and bad, as well as secondary characters who are all well fleshed out, and danger, action, mystery and romance (not to mention moments of hilarity, as well as heartbreak). If you like a world of shapeshifters, vampires, zombies, and other denizens of the fae and other worlds, you’ll probably love this series!
The edition I read on my Kindle couldn't handle the umlat (the little dots over the o; I had to look up what it was called), or a LOT of the French phrases. It would break the words. Otherwise, typography was readable; handful of typos between the five books but not overly prevalent.
Like many readers before me. I completely agree that this series started off great and then jumped the shark after Narcissus in Chains. The constant sex becomes boring. First few books are worth the read but after that forget about it.
I have been re-reading the series. I am almost up to Dead Ice. For some reason I needed to reconnect to Anita. It happens. To me anyway. The voices have preferences. So, Anita Blake it is.
