A good introduction, I believe, to herbs and remedies. It's very straight-forward , easy to read, with historical and modern uses in the descriptions. Gives a good reference or starting point. I've had this book for many, many years - bought as a bargain book from Waldenbooks/Borders - and I'm just getting into it. Glad I kept it as I am interested in more natural remedies for ailments than synthetic drugs.
