Kiss. Marry. Kill…

Kill? That’s easy. My family runs a murder for hire business. I can end a man in my sleep without so much as taking off my eye mask.

Marry? If my mother has her way, I’ll be walking down the aisle with her rival’s psychopath son. But Riddick is more likely to stab me during his vows than love and cherish me for a lifetime.

Kiss? My history with men says I’m better off with a vibrator. But then Augie Mitchell looks at me with his ocean blue eyes and I want to let him prove he’s as talented with his tongue as he claims to be.

Shame he’s my missing sister’s best friend and number one on my suspect list. I’d stick with battery operated orgasms, but the man gets under my skin and worse, worms his way into my heart.

Until a new target is given to me.

Augie Mitchell must die.

And I’m the one who has to kill him.

Killer Kiss is a male/female dark romantic suspense story set in the Saint View world. Each book in this series has a new couple and a happily ever after. It can be read as a standalone. It contains dark themes that may be triggering for some readers.

“I don’t care what’s on the other side,” I whispered into her ear. “As long as you’re in there with me.”
All I f*cking wanted was her.

My heart… seriously, I didn’t know I had it in me to love Augie after everything he did in Saint View High. I hated him and he was beyond forgiveness imo, BUT Killer Kiss showed a side of Augie that no one expected, a side that didn’t justify what he did but explained why he did it and how he truly felt about everything. It was a beautiful book to read, seeing Augie’s growth and how he changed and valued the importance of having people around him was seriously beautiful to see.

Ophelia was Scythe/Vincent and Fawn’s older sister. Scythe/Vincent is from Saint View Prison and Fawn we meet at the beginning of Saint View Strip. Fawn’s a sweet girl running away from a dark past that led her to Saint View Strip Club, making her a part of that big family but when she goes missing nothing is as it should be, there’s now a missing piece in the family and everyone is doing the best they can to find her. Ophelia, that helped Fawn escape their crazy family, didn’t know about her sister’s disappearance until she accidentally met Augie, and that’s when everything changes.

This book was a rollercoaster and I seriously could not put it down, it was so good!!!! The spice, the character crossover from other Saint View series, the plot twists, everything was just amazing!! Also all the scenes with Scythe were my favorites for sure, he’s the best Saint View character and I always die laughing with his scenes 🤣

I can’t wait for the next book, the epilogue on this one absolutely broke my heart and I’m counting the days until the next book is out. Can’t wait!!!!

“Ophelia would be the death of me. Of that, I was sure…What a way to go!”

4⭐️ I love how brutal and honest Ophelia and Augie are, the banter between them and the rest of their crew is awesome. She is totally next level awesomeness, knitting needles? Perfection.

This was an epic plot. I loved it. I loved all the twist and turns it was intricate and really well developed. I loved it. I didn’t think we were going to get a cliffhanger in this, but this was the biggest one ever! Seriously how did I not know that this was gonna be a thing? I cannot wait. I’m not gonna tell you but I need to know everything!

I really love the mystery and intrigue angle of this and getting to know more about Scythe/Vincent and Ophelia’s family but also I always had a really soft spot for Augie. I knew that he would be broken, he had such a horrific life. Sure he has made some bad choices along the way, but I really had a soft spot from him since the start. I feel really sad for him because the sides that he doesn’t let other people see, are the sweetest sides of him, and he’s really just a broken little dude, trying to do the best he can. Poor Augie.

Ophelia and Augie are an inferno, like volcano level. Like we need extreme weather warnings because it’s gonna be hot level spice. Their banter and interactions are just on fire and totally lit. I loved it.

This just might be my favourite Saint View book of all-time! I love a good redemption story, but Banjo was my favourite MMC in Saint View High, and I didn’t think there would be any redeeming qualities about Augie at all.

Boy was I wrong!

Elle has done it again. This book had everything you’d expect in a Saint View book and more - it was dark, it was gritty, it had twists and turns galore - it even brought me to tears on multiple occasions. But even better than that, it had cameos from a lot of our favourite Saint View Crew.

Augie Mitchell is unapologetic about who he is and what he does for a living. He doesn’t care what people think of him, but what he does care about is his family and friends. He’d do anything for them.

Ophelia is a badass in her own right - a contract killer for hire and Vincent/Scythe’s sister - I knew we were in for a good time.

*While the Saint View Strip books are their own interconnected series, I would suggest you read Saint View High, Saint View Prison & Saint View Psychos (which are all RH - MMF and a very good time) for important back story to the motivations of these characters. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

whew, the third installment of this series was a wild ride for sure. i genuinely feel like each of elle thorpe’s books get better and better and this was no exception. i loved augie and ophelia. this book sort of gave similar vibes to the sinners duet simply due to fact that ophelia is a hired contract killer. i loved the storyline aspect of this book compared to the other two in this series because it was so well thought out and the timing was so well done. i loved that this book interconnected with the saint view psychos series AND the saint view high series. it was so cool so see all of those characters come back. i loved augie and everything about him; his protectiveness, his love for his family, for fawn, and for ophelia. i loved ophelia and how badass she was. and the epilogue literally had me reeling. i need book 4 immediately after that cliffhanger and cannot wait to see how elle thorpe delivers that story

GRUMPY DADDY AUGIE + HIRED ASSASAIN BADASS OPHELIA = me likey.

firstly let me start off by saying, what the fuck are you doing with your life if you have not read the Saint View Universe. Seriously. It’s concerning.

Secondly, Augie hog me to a stripper pole booty butt naked and spin me around if it’s so pleases him. We all know I’m a sucker for a grumpy daddy and baaaabg is he grumpy. Ophelia is the slightly less dramatic version of Scythe, so its only fair that I love her lmao.

This. Book. I loved it! It was so fun!

Tropes:
🔫 He’s a stripper/She’s a contract killer
🔫 Dark romance
🔫 She’s hired to kill him, but they fall in love
🔫 Open door spice
🔫 Redemption arc

Note that this series is part of a series and the overarching storyline and mystery starts in Evil Enemy in the Saint View Strip series. There are characters from previous Elle Thorpe books that are set in the Saint View universe.

This was a great read! I was instantly hooked, from Ophelia and Augie’s unexpected meet cute! Augie is looking for his friend, Fawn, who has been missing for weeks. He sees Ophelia and mistakes her for Fawn. Easy to do, since they’re sisters. Ophelia is a killer for hire and hates it. Together, they scour every potential lead to find Fawn.

Along the way, they slowly start to fall for each other, but are hindered by arranged marriages to a psychopathic killer, the fact that Ophelia has been contracted to kill Augie, the search for Fawn, and Augie’s desperation to reconnect with his estranged brother.

Their HEA was hard won, but I loved their story. Both Augie and Ophelia had so much to overcome and work through before they could break down their walls and truly be together.

If you’ve read all the Saint View series by Elle Thorpe, this is a natural next read. If you haven’t, I recommend starting with Saint View High, then Saint View Prison, Main View Psychos, Saint View Rebels and the Saint View Strip series of interconnected standalones: Evil Enemy and Unholy Sins. Check out Elle’s website for the suggested reading order. I’ve read it all out of order, but I enjoyed it still!

Another great addition to the Saint View series books! I’m happy Augie finally got his book although shocked it was with Ophelia, Fawn’s sister because I really thought this man wanted the sister the way he reacted when she got taken. I love that Vincent/Scyth were so involved because he’s my absolute favorite! The only thing that bothered me was the sister’s storyline, I get it because she’s obviously getting her own book but it just seemed so unfinished & quick to end after making the whole thing about her 🤷🏻‍♀️

The grip this story had in me from the beginning was strong. Augie and Opheilas' story is powerful. Augie is still looking for Fawn and runs into Ophelia, thinking she is Fawn. Ophelia is Fawns sister and didn't know she was missing. Things get interesting when Augies becomes a mark for Ophelia (as she is a hired hitman), and she starts to develop feelings for him while looking for her sister.

This HEA is much rewarded, and the cliffhanger for the next book is torture having to wait.

Audiobook Review:

The narrators for this book did such a good job!! Michelle brought Ophelia to life. She was so tough and fierce and also struggling with her family. There are some very emotional moments! I had always wondered what a book staring Scythe’s sister would be like…and I was not disappointed! As much as I didn’t like Augie going into this Corvin helped change my mind! I also loved his version of Vincent/Scythe and it was everything I hoped for!

I am a huge fan of Elle Thorpe’s entire Saint View universe. I highly recommend reading the entire thing but if you just want to dip your toe into this world that’s ok too - these Saint View Strip books are standalone BUT you will get a few spoilers from previous books.

Honestly, I started out of order with Saint view Pyschos and LOVED it but then I had to go back to the beginning with Saint View High books. Speaking of Saint View High, this book stars Augie…and I was not a fan of his before. He has definitely won me over!

Ophelia & Augie’s story wraps up…BUT there is huge reveal/cliffhanger in the epilogue for the next book!

I am absolutely floored.
I am and always will be a redemption girly and holy hell am I satisfied!

To be perfectly fair I was ready and willing to forgive this man the second he showed his angsty little face in SVS but I refuse to let that discount his earnest and authentic urge to heal. His intent was never forgiveness, and I know in my heart that even without forgiveness he still would have done everything in his power to right his wrongs.

Ophelia deserves the whole world and more and I just know that Augie will always fight to give it to her and vice versa. They had such an organic give and take that brought an amazing balance to their relationship as a whole.

Now when it comes to spice we all know that Elle will never fall short and this was just more proof to back that claim. A perfect mix of raunchy and delectable, every single time these two came together I was thanking my lucky stars that I was reading home alone and had no witnesses to see the puddle I became.

In the end my heart is at the same time completely shattered and yet filled with hope. I will gladly stab every asshole in all of providence, Saint view, and beyond for the next book to come tomorrow. (No pressure though... lets be real ill wait for all of eternity if need be)

This book comes before the epilogue in Rebel Heart.

Augie still pisses me off. What he did to Banjo is almost unforgiveable.

*SPOILERS*

Banjo forgives Augie, but Banjo, Colt, Rafe, and Lacey are just damn forgiving as characters, and I think it ruins it a bit because Banjo also tries to reconnect with the parents who abandoned them which is why Augie went into the life he did. And then THAT ending.

Corvin King, however, was AMAZING as Augie. He gave him the grit of someone who has been trampled on and is just trying to make it through life. You can hear the exhaustion and emotion in his voice, and it was perfect. There were no other male narrators, so he also voiced all of the other males, which included a heavy dose of Vincent/Scythe. I think if King had done it first I would have been behind it, but Gregory Salinas' version is my favorite version and it was hard to hear him as anyone else.

The real knock on the half star for this one was Ophelia and Augie's actual relationship. It just felt like they rolled over all of the emotions. I would have liked a BIT more depth to believe it.

I love how these Saint View series and the characters in them all intertwine with each other and that definitely happens in this book. Ophelia (FMC) is back in Saint View after her sister Fawn has gone missing. From a dysfunctional family. Vincent/Scythe being her brother and even though he's a psychopath but he's genuinely my favourite character throughout all the series that he's popped up in. In this one he was hilarious as well as bloodthirsty too. Him and Ophelia find help in the form of stripper and friend of Fawn - Augie. Who is pretty much a growly guy who isn't close to many people in his life but the ones he does he regards as family. I loved his dynamic with Ophelia. Witty with plenty banter and steaminess. That ending was flaming brilliant and a taster of things to come.

My favorite in the series so far!! But I am dying for the next one, thanks to that epilogue! Ophelia is the infamous sister of Vincent/Scythe if you follow the Saint View world. She is in the family business; a killer for hire. Augie is Banjo’s older brother, and works as a dancer at Eve’s (FMC from book 1) club. Both of these characters have been unlikeable in the previous series, but Elle really kills their redemption arcs. They end up reluctantly teaming up to try and find Fawn, and they can’t fight their attraction. Unfortunately, they aren’t having any luck finding Fawn & Ophelia receives another job bag, with Augie’s photo inside. They both have some great character growth & they are exactly what the other needs. Their romance is messy but actually really sweet.

Thank you Elle Thorpe for the ALC!

This audiobook was so good!! I’m very familiar with Michelle Sparks as a narrator, but Corvin King wasn’t as familiar to me. However, I did recognize his voice once I started this audiobook. And I will definitely be looking for more of his books. They both did a phenomenal job! Once I started listening, I didn’t want to stop. I love the added sound effects that are in this one. However, the sirens definitely made me panic while I was driving 😂

This series is slightly different than her other Saint View books because this series is made up 3 different couples rather than her typical trilogies. I was very excited for Augie’s story. This book picks up where Unholy Sins left off. Fawn is still missing and after that subway scene I was so ready for this one! I felt so back for Augie after learning more about his story. I loved the additional of Ophelia and was ecstatic to see Scythe & Co again!

Epic story with the Saint Crew. This book is all about Ophelia. Former asssasin, 1 of 2 siblings to Scythe/vincent (iykyk) and it is epic. FMC and MMC with extremely messed up and awful childhoods, rich/poor, and all things morally gray. Enter a missing sister, a grumpy MMC with trust issues, and a pretty obsessed and psychotic betrothal that is terrifying created an epic story of struggle, loss, growth, and love. I love when I can come back to visit the Saint View world because it’s lie being able to catch up with old friends. Must read if you enjoyed all things Saint View

Another amazing addition to the Saint View world.

Augie has totally redeemed himself. Loved everything about him, his anger, disappointment, his self hate for his past. Oh how he grovelled ❤️ but the chemistry with Ophelia - 😍 - smoking hot. (And absolutely adore Luna)
And loved Ophelia so much. Vincent/Scythe being there for her. The scene at their mums - perfect.

Absolutely addictive read.

I’ll be honest, I actually never want the Saint View universe to end. The interwoven storyline’s and the way the characters are linked together is done so well and seeing those characters appear in the later SV books is like reuniting with old friends. Which is exactly what we get in Killer Kiss with the Saint View High crew.

From the moment we met Augie many books ago I wanted his story. He was grumpy and awful but I just knew there’d be so much more to his character. He’s by far one of the strongest characters Elle has written within the SV universe with a redemption arc like no other. Ophelia is he’s perfect equal and the unconventional start to their relationship only makes you want their HEA even more.

Once again Elle has nailed it. Not that we doubted her for a second 🫶🏻

Omg!! This book takes the cake for the Saint View strip!

No spoilers review!

Just when I think that there is "no way" for Augie to redeem himself, Elle comes in and makes me fall head over heels for him! This story is about Augie and Ophelia. After Fawn ,Ophelia and Scythe/ Vincent's sister, goes missing, the two are ready to tear down the world to find her. What they didn't expect was to find out that her new life was just on the other side of the tracks, in Saint View. After a chance encounter with Auggie on the train, Ophelia figures it is the best place to start looking for fawn.

Coming in hot, like always, the duo go to the strip club and demand answers. They are immediately met with resistance. Augie doesn't care who they are to fawn, he doesn't trust them. Now they must work together to find Fawn before its too late. Unfortunately, the two of them are like fire and gasoline. Plus, Ophelia just got her next assignment, and Augie is on her radar.

Between the mistrust, firey chemistry, and outside issues, can Augie and Ophelia work together to find the one person the know deserves so much more than what life has given her?

Augie- He definitely grew up and matured since we first saw him in Saint View High. He is jaded for sure, but he now strives to be a better person for the important people in his life. He is actually hard on the outside but so sweet and respectful on the inside. No matter how much he wants to hate Ophelia, he is drawn to her in every way. I'm so glad he made a come back in this book in the most Epic way!

Ophelia- raised to be a killer, she is strong, independent, and a spit fire of a woman. I love her character developement! She has only lived life to fulfill her jobs and avoid her mother at all costs. But the chemistry between her and Augie is off the chart! She helps show him he is good and he helps show her she's allowed to be soft at times. Their dynamic is seriously hypnotizing.

Scythe/Vincent- as always, he is his same deranged self 😂 . I'm so glad we got more of him in this story! Some of my favorite quotes come straight from his mouth. Haha. His growth is so apparent in this book and I love that even though he's been slightly domesticated, he still has his crazy underneath.

This book was so hot. I love the dynamic between the characters. My heart shattered for Augie, and I truly love his redemption. He is too hard on himself and Ophelia definitely let him know that. Ophelia is her own crazy breed and came in hot right out of the gate. But I lpve that Augie smoothes her rough edges. They truly compliment each other.

The past three weeks have been hectic in my own life, and it made reading my ARC of Killer Kiss take way longer than I intended, HOWEVER it was so great to take little breaks from reality and dive into Augie’s redemption story.

I first found the Saint View world about a year or so ago, and fell in love with Elle Thorpe’s writing, especially because she has perfected the MMFM storyline and romance in my eyes. Banjo and Rafe are still my favorite out of all the characters in those trilogies, so getting to see Banjo and Augie work things out healed a little piece of my soul I didn’t know needed healing.

I also love how down to earth Ophelia ends up being, even though she’s an unaliver-for-hire. 😂 This is one of my favorite quotes from the story. So relatable, yet still true to herself.

“I love you. I know I don’t have much to offer other than that. I come with baggage. So much fucking baggage, and a family who is batshit crazy…” -Ophelia

I almost DNFed about 150 pages in, I’m not sure what it is about this but it was just really boring.

Plus I’m getting kind of sick of literally every couple in this universe resorting to sex when something traumatic happens, I know that’s how a lot of people deal with it but not every single person ever? It’s getting really annoying.

And surely it’s not that hard to find Eddie???? Surely nobody actually thought she was dead???? You wouldn’t think so with how much they didn’t seem to care.

This book has been a long time coming. As a Banjo girl from Saint View High we didn't like Augue but I can happily say he has redeemed himself for me. I love Ophelia and her wanting happiness. The spice between these two, perfection. But that cliffhanger, I think this might be the worst one yet!

“I didn't want to like him. Hating him would make it a whole lot easier when I inevitably had to kill him anyway.”

Somehow Elle was able to redeem the unredeemable. Every time Augie would pop up in Saint View he would be the biggest A-hole around. I didn’t think anything could change my mind but I did, I even developed a little crush on the arrogant ass.

This book tied so many of the former books together. Augie is Banjo’s brother, while they were estranged, they find their way back to each other in this book. The reason why was heartbreaking but beautiful. You can’t help but love Luna, her sweet personality and the love she has for her uncle Augie. She brings the brothers back together.

"I'm sorry. Being around here makes me stabby." "Do you want to borrow my knife? I have a spare."

Ophelia is Vincent/Scythe’s sister, tying together so many of the other Saint View stories into this one. We finally get a deeper glance into their family dynamic and the killer business. Where Vincent/Scythe got to marry for love, and Fawn escaped by leaving her family behind, Ophelia will have to marry for the betterment of the family business. Something her mother is getting pushy about.

Ophelia runs into Augie in his search for Fawn, and from there they run into each other at every turn. But when Ophelia gets a new kill bag from her mother with Augie as her new target, things start to get complicated. She gets closer to him but in the end can’t help but develop feelings for him.

“He shook his head, lifting my face so I had to look him in the eye.
"I love you," he whispered. "I don't know how not to."

I love how these books always have so many things happening at once. Besides sizzling hot scenes between Augie and Ophelia you get twist and turns that keep you guessing. You get a full world dynamic where every previous person you’ve met has a part with the others. And it all works so well, the writing is amazing and just flows so wonderfully, painting a perfect picture.

As always you will get an honorable mention off Scythe, who delivers the most epic lines ever, yet again. He will have you laughing until you’re crying. My favorite character ever!

”You get a bullet.” Scythe said above the chaos, “and you get a bullet.” “You can all get fucking bullets if you want to keep this bullshit up!”

That epilogue!! How can Elle leave us off here?! I did not see this coming but now I can’t wait for Saint View Strip #4

"I love you, Lia," he said again. "Every part of you. Everything you've done. Everything you'll do in the future. It doesn't matter.
You've seen me at my worst, and you love me anyway. Let me in.
Let me do the same thing for you that you did for me. All you have to do is say yes." He sucked in a breath. "Say you'll be mine."

Saint View Strip book three is about Ophelia and Augie and is every bit as good as I knew it would be. These two characters are both a bit different than what I expected, but then again, I think they surprised themselves, too.

Augie has grown up. I truly disliked him before, but now he has come into his real character. Don’t get me wrong, he is still quite arrogant and out to make a buck, but then again, a man’s got to eat. His love for his brother Banjo and his niece Luna is absolute, even at a distance.

Ophelia is more normal now; it’s the only way I can describe her, although she is still a stone-cold killer. She has been trained from a young age, so it’s only natural for her to be still capable of killing without remorse. What’s not natural is for her to develop feelings for a man. Yet the chemistry between her and Augie is remarkably strong.

There are some very dark, serious elements in this story that are crafted into an amazing story, but there is also some fabulous humour to lighten things. The balance between both is executed very cleverly by this talented author.

The mystery and suspense element in the story is unreal; every book seems to top the previous one, and they are all sensational. The twists in the story are often unique and unpredictable; they literally don’t stop until the very last sentence!

Holy heck, are there some intense moments in this incredible book! I could feel my heart racing faster and faster while holding my breath with anxiety—absolutely brilliant writing. And holy Toledo Batman, Scythe/Vincent is still such a fantastic character—just sayin’.

I couldn’t put this book down and already look forward to reading the next book!

Gah, this was SO GOOD! I did not think that I would ever be able to like Augie after reading Saint View High, so I was pretty apprehensive when it was announced that this was his book. But boy, was I wrong and so happy for that to be the case!

I really loved seeing how much Augie had grown and changed since losing Banjo and then losing Fawn. Seeing how he realized he was wrong and that there was another way to live and regretting the stupid choices he had made was beautiful. Getting inside his head and seeing that he hated how he treated everyone around him, but that he realized that he only did it to protect them from him and keep them all at arms length so he couldn't do the same to them and so they didn't come to rely too much on him. I loved seeing him and Ophelia meet and fight their feelings and eventually give in!

Ophelia was absolutely lovely and very complex. For the most part, she was a badass woman who was conflicted with her family but knew overall what she wanted. I enjoyed seeing her break down that wall a bit and see that there was more to life than the way she had been living. I loved seeing the protective sister side of her, both for Fawn and Vincent/Scythe. I did expect her to be a bit more of a badass than she was around other bad people like Riddick, but it also gave her a bit more depth and showed that even the terrifying people have people they are terrified of.

Can I just say that Scythe made my freaking year every time he came on the page, but that entrance (you know the one) had me squealing and clapping and yelling because it was UTTER PERFECTION! 🙌 He is probably my all-time favorite Saint View character! I really enjoyed the little snippets we got of him, and I can't wait for the fourth book, especially after that Epilogue!
