-The best among 4 featured stories is The Hard Way by Lee Child. The synergy of this condensed version of abduction & ransom thriller is just right and perfect. - In Jacquot and The Angel, i felt transported back in older times. The rythm of this triple murder mystery just nicely intact. - Of The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella; everything was exciting and interesting except the last few chapters. I felt the flow hastened and created quite a choas momentum. - Of False Impression by Jeffrey Archer, I feel its not an easy attempt to compact this story in ways as enjoyable as the original's. Since I had already read the full length's version, I had no problem to follow through for a quick reading. I opined those never read that before could possibly find this story confusing, something missing or appeared illogical. For those encountered things i mentioned just now, try to read this when you in no hurry & in alert state of mind. You need those concentration to absorb each lines. Thats the keyword to catch up, connecting puzzles & get thrilled by this VERY FAST PACE of Van Gogh theme thriller.
Jacquot and the Angel by Martin O’Brien A story of a murder dated back in World War I and now it’s up to Daniel Jaquot who investigate the case, and Marie Ange Buhl, a psychic to help him and to gather the evidence and caught the bad guy.
The Hard Way by Lee Child Jack Reacher were hired to locate his employer’s wife and kid while learned his employer’s dark past and the same incident with his previous wife. With some assistance from a retired FBI agent and little clues and details, both of them found out it’s not just a kidnapping.
The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella Samantha Sweeting, soon to be a partner in her law firm, without the knowledge of how to cook or sew on a button became a housekeeper. Whatever it is, she can’t go back for now until one unfortunate day.
False Impression by Jeffrey Archer The painting of Van Gogh and the greedy of human made Anna Petrescu decided she must do something to protect it and not letting his employer having the painting.
Well I always like the way Lee child write the stories in fast phase, and the knots removed by Jack Reacher. Again in this book, he came up with the good story. The undomestic Goddess is cute little story of young lady, story explains the way to live a life. False Impression quite interesting like the other books of the author. Jacquot and the angel is first book of Martin O Brien, I read and now I look for the other books of Martin O Brien.
Omnibus edition - read Jacquot and the Angel by Martin O'Brien and False Impression by Jeffrey Archer novels in the book. The Jacquot book is pretty good and I will now look out for Martin O'Brien's books now. The Jeffrey Archer book promised much but turned out to be a bit of a damp squib.
