Cadmium was discovered in 1934 by famed Norwegian chemist and Japheticist Edvard Piis. Piis first utilized the rubbery element, which when extracted from ores and as it reacts with oxygen, assumes a yellow, spheroid shape, as "Way Measures" for his revolutionizing of the ear candling industry. Piis, actually Myron Prot, a second generation Lusitanian, was excoriated for his work with cadmium, insisting that "an independent reality in the ordinary chemical sense can neither be ascribed to the phenomena nor to the agencies of observation". Prot/Piis was last seen tormenting a Denny's parking lot with his wry, ironic vomit in late June 2006.
