A cute little book. Definitely not the only one you’ll ever need for studying drawing, it’s not the most classical approach, but it adds a simple perspective to the study, and somehow even manages to stay quite original, which is important when most of the books about drawing are so much alike.

This is an excellent introduction to drawing the human figure. It gives insight to how to “see” the body first before actually beginning to draw. It also gives a good overview of the structure of the body, not just the outward form, but also the skeletal and muscular structure that gives it its shape. Also, this book is filled with helpful practical advice.

This is a very inexpensive, fairly comprehensive introduction to life drawing. It provides enough structure to get a class started on working from the nude.
