Dino Triziano is the foreman in charge of building the new home for Zeus's pack. When he discovers there are more than humans inhabiting the planet, he runs in panic. Sidney Porter is a shifter from another pack. He's addicted to Red Bull and Bingo, and he is upset when he thinks his mate, Torem, is cheating on him with the foreman of the construction crew—until he gets a whiff of Dino. Torem takes a journey to cleanse the betrayal and pain Jackson has left behind while trying to keep his mate safe from the wolves coming after him from Sidney's pack. Can Torem, Beta of the pack, keep his mates safe while fighting for his sanity? Will Dino come to terms with the fact that there are shifters in the world, and can Sidney find his bingo hall while trying to kick the sugar drink?
Each book in Lynn Hagen's Zeus's Pack collection features a different romantic trio. Each title stands alone and can be read in any order. However, we recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
This was book 4 in the "Zeus's Pack" series. Dino Triziano is the foreman in charge of building the new home for Zeus's pack. Torem, Beta of the pack gets a letter from his brother Cheyenne who he thought was dead he goes to rescue him and his best friend turns out to be his other mate. This was a good read and funny also. Sidney Porter is a shifter with a secret he is also addicted to red bull's and bingo and it drives every one nuts. When the bata of another pack comes after his brother and mate Torem will do anything to keep them safe. Chey is an omega with a gift he can heal people inside and out and when he hugs Torem he sends him through all the memories of reliving all the things the old Alpha did to him. Dino is shocked that shifters exist and that he has two mates. While out they are attacked and Sidney shifts and they find out what type of shifter he is he is a jaguar. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
This fourth book added a great deal of humor to the usual mix of mates struggling to deal with each other, as well as their enemies.
I loved Dino, the human mate. He’s so down to earth and straightforward-thinking that the whole supernatural thing hits him hard. He doesn’t deal very well with it in the beginning, but his stubborn insistence of figuring it all out actually becomes an asset. Sidney is just too much! He is hilarious, and the description of his antics had me in stitches. He also carries a pretty big secret with him, one that weighs on him, but we don’t really see to understand that until way into the story. When it comes out, I liked him even more. Torem, the wolf shifter, is amazingly patient with his two mates and has a lot to deal with himself. He’s a great guy, though, and that helps all of them.
If you like shifter stories with a bit of mystery and LOTS of humor, hot m/m/m ménages and an entertaining, light read, you will probably like this book.
I cannot get enough of this series. Lynn Hagen has brought me into a great world of reading. I have fallen in love with Zeus's pack and her band of demons and look forward Christian's Coven!
I didn’t actually like any of the main guys in this one. On the other hand some interesting future protagonists assembled. I already like all I have seen of the three for the next book, and the whole thing sounds promising, no matter how long it takes to come to fruition. Eh, if only these weren’t all threesomes. But I can deal. The next one is the last available at this time, which is sort of sad. Ish. We also got a little more of the Takeo story. It’s really weird to have so much of that being told in books other than his own, whenever that will come about.
Oh well, maybe this next one will be interesting again. We’ll definitely have one completely traumatized and conditioned tiny guy and a nice, cheerful human who is already protecting him. The wolf in question only showed up once and very briefly but he seemed fine. Not a soldier, for once!
Still, knowing this author I am not holding my breath for a break from the usual character types. ^^;
2012 Re-read Project:
I went and did it. I re-read all the connected series by Lynn Hagen, this time in order of publication date, as recommended, which sadly does not ensure actual chronologicality. That’s twenty-nine books of moderate length, spanning three series (with more to spin off).
I’ll put my thoughts in spoiler tags since I plan to paste this into the end of each review covered here. There are no actual spoilers, so feel free to read this for a general idea of the series.
Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each): Brac Pack Christian's Coven Zeus's Pack Demon Warriors The Exiled
These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.
One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order): Brac Village Shadow Tribe BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids) The Remus Brothers Wolves of Desire
This instalment had me in stitches, Sid was so funny that I had to stop reading because I could not see through the tears and my sides hurt from laughing so hard. I guessed Sid's secret, the species but not the category he was. The fact he was jumping around gave me the clue but it was a joy to watch the bundle of energy go.
The emotional angst of this story was a really good counter point to the fun of Sid. I liked that Torem's emotional torment didn't take to much of the plot as there was so much more going on. It was a little anti climatic at the end but it didn't spoil the whole for me. I am intrigued with Eagle and Chey so that is the next one I am reading today!
typical lynn hagen serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical lynn hagen? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).
out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by : lynn hagen stormy glenn scarlett hyacinth carol lynne gabrielle evans
unless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win.
Whilst rescuing his brother from his pack, Torem scents, Sid, his brother's best friend as his other mate. Torem has a problem. His other mate is human and he has no idea how to tell him. Sid made this book for me. I loved how hyper he was and his love of bingo. Dino, I guess, as all human mates are was very quickly accepting of his new life, even if he did run the first time. The surprise when Sid shifts and he is a jaguar, was priceless.
One of the better in the series. Sidney is so....bouncy;) He is adorable. Dino and Torem are great too. I wish there was a little more depth on the characters and we could have known more of Dino's background. The editing really needs work.
What is with this author making one of the three men an irritating brat?! I'm sure Sidney's addiction to Red Bull (trademarked!) and bingo was suppose to be funny but his hyper-active babbling behavior was just irritating; I felt bad for the other two men that Sidney was his mate!
First read June 3, 2012 3.5 Stars - I actually liked this book. Sidney is crazy but fun, Dino is dominant even though he is human and Torem gets some healing. It is still more sex than plot but it was entertaining.
This book was better than most from this author even though I didn't care for Dino. Dino just didn't cut it for me. I did not like him even a little bit. It would have been better with just Sid and Torem (imo). Would have given it a higher rating if Dino wasn't in it.
I liked Torem and Dino, but I did not like Sidney that much, he was just too hyper and refused to stop drinking those god damn energy drinks, like nothing was wrong. Just... somehow he pissed me off
