A compilation of (post-)apocalyptic comics from Portugal and beyond, assembled as a kind of continuous, disjointed, exquisite corpse. This presentation actually makes for something surprisingly more cohesive and intriguing than most comps as it forces parallels and themes to emerge across juxtaposed artists' work. (did each know what the other would do, or is this happenstance? Is there a larger picture?)
These guys are cool, and I'd heard of almost no one involved, besides Rudolfo and Alfonse Ferreira from the Lodacal series.
Now, if only I could read enough Portugese to get at all the non-english dialogue (vague knowledge of Spanish and Italian helps, but not enough).
I was going to come back and write more, but this remains cryptic and interesting as ever. Kind of a widely collaborative, free-association-narrative-connected art book. Images have more to say:
